HyppMe FAQ 1. What is HyppMe? HyppMe is the latest generation of mobile communication application that provides voice and messaging services on most iOS and Android phone. With HyppMe, you get o o o o o o o FREE Instant Messaging (upon download and installation/activation) FREE calls HyppMe to HyppMe FREE Emoji and Stickers FREE calls HyppMe to TM Fixed Line (upon subscription) LOW call rate to other number at RM0.08/minute (upon subscription) LOW SMS rate at RM0.05/SMS (upon subscription) FREE calls to TM Customer Support – call 100 (upon subscription) It’s a MUST TRY application! 2. How do I install HyppMe? Launch Apps Store from your iOS OS Phone or Google Playstore if you are using Android OS Phone and search for 'HyppMe'. Tap ‘install’ to download & install app. 3. Do I need to download and Install HyppMe? Yes. HyppMe is available in Apps Store (for iOS-based user) and Google Playstore (for Android-based user). 4. Why do I receive an Activation Code during activation? Once you've installed HyppMe, you will receive an Activation Code via SMS (native SMS via mobile operator service). The Activation Code is required to be filled in during activation. For some Android-based phones, the client application will automatically grab the Activation Code and activate HyppMe. The Activation Code ensures that you are the real owner of the mobile number you have registered and prevents others from obtaining your Activation Code and make voice calls with your caller ID. 5. I am not getting an SMS with the activation code. Why? The reasons below could explain why you are having problems receiving the Activation Code. 1. There may be a mistake with the mobile number that you typed in. Please double-check your mobile number. 2. You may experience a delayed receipt of an SMS depending on the mobile operator or our server is congested during that time. 6. Error keeps occurring even after typing in activation code. If an error message appears during the activation process, please try to force stop HyppMe via phone setting and restart the application (and the device if necessary). 7. Do I need to pay to use and subscribe HyppMe? To download and activate HyppMe, it is Free. You are able to enjoy free HyppMe On Net calls and Instant Messaging (IM) upon activation. Currently we are offering prepaid subscription services. HyppMe rates are as below: Service Type Prepaid 1) Monthly Subscription Fee FREE 2) VOICE SERVICE On Net Off Net FREE HyppMe-to- other numbers* (per minute) RM 0.08/min HyppMe-to-TM Fixed numbers (per minute) FREE 3) MESSAGING IM/Chat FREE Off Net (SMS) RM 0.05/SMS 4) Client Download (OTC) FREE 5) VAS – CRBT, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding RM3/month (optional) 6) In-house emoticons/stickers/content RM5/download 7) Content Purchasing 3% on top of Transaction Charge *Non TM Fixed Line, Cellular Service Providers (Other Line Network Operator) 8. What is On Net and Off Net calls? On Net call is possible if you and your HyppMe buddy are online while Off net call is when you or your HyppMe buddy is not online but can be reached via GSM call. 9. What are the charges for Offnet Calls and SMS services? Off Net calls via HyppMe to other mobile numbers and non-TM numbers (Other Line Network Operators’ fixed numbers and IP numbers) users will be charged at RM0.08/minute while SMS will be charged at RM0.05/SMS. However, to all Off Net calls via HyppMe to TM fixed / homeline numbers and TM customer support numbers, no usage charges will be imposed. That means they are Free of Charge! 10. If calls were made less than a minute, will I still be charged RM0.08? Yes. Unfortunately our call charges are being charged based on call block of 60 seconds (1 minute). 11. What is the minimum amount to reload? Currently, the lowest denomination is RM5 for our prepaid services. 12. If I reload RM5, how does RM5 being charged? o RM5 for usage at: o RM0.08/minute for every call to non-TM numbers/mobile o RM0.05/SMS to other number 13. How do I reload HyppMe? There are 2 options: a. Reload via HyppMe Application. Go to Settings >> Profile >> Reload b. Reload from TM website at www.tm.com.my (upon registration as myTM customer) 14. Can I reload through TM Customer Support or TM Point? No. 15. Is there any way to reload instead of Credit Card? Currently, HyppMe only provides Credit Card option for customers to reload. 16. Regarding to the silent calls, can I get a rebate because of that? Unfortunately, No. 17. If I want to deactivate HyppMe, and i still have credits in my account, will the credit balance be refund to me? Unfortunately, No. HyppMe prepaid credits cannot be refund to the customer. However, your credits remain available until your next reload (within 90 days). 18. How do I know if my phone supports HyppMe? HyppMe supports the following smart phones OS: i. iPhone – iOS 6.0 or higher ii. Android – Android OS 2.3 or higher 19. Do I have to change my number to use HyppMe? No. You can use your current mobile number. 20. Can HyppMe support non Malaysia number? Currently, HyppMe only supports numbers registered in Malaysia. 21. How to import my current phone contacts to HyppMe? HyppMe will automatically add anyone who has installed HyppMe from your contact list. 22. Can I invite my friends to use HyppMe? Sure you can. Invite your friend by sending out an SMS asking them to join HyppMe. The SMS can be sent via HyppMe application using native SMS. 23. Will I be charged by sending out HyppMe SMS invitation? Yes. You will be charged based on your mobile operator SMS service charges. 24. I have already activated the application but I have only myself in HyppMe contact? Your friends might not yet activate HyppMe application so you can invite them to subscribe to HyppMe. Other than that, you may have restricted access to your contact. Please refer to your mobile device on how to deactivate the restriction. 25. How do I know that myself or my friends are online? Your status and your friends status will be shown on HyppMe logo: you or your friends are online you or your friends are not online. your friends have not install or activate the service 26. How do I add my friends to my HyppMe contact list? You can invite them by choosing their contact and click the invite button. 27. I don’t have 3G data plan, can I still use HyppMe? HyppMe works on data network including WiFi. 28. What are the minimum bandwidth require for HyppMe to be functional at a permissible level? Minimum 1Mbps with minimum interruption from other network use. 29. How do I configure the call? You can choose to set your Off Net call behaviour at setting configuration. Steps: i. Tap on settings ii. Tap “Call Option” iii. Select call option behaviour: 1. On Net – Allow On Net calls only and automatically block all Off Net calls if you are offline. 2. Auto Switch – Enable Off Net calls automatically if you/or called party are offline. 3. Manual Switch - Prompt selection if you and/or called party are offline. 30. What are the voice quality levels in HyppMe? HyppMe voice quality level depends on network quality for both parties. 31. Does HyppMe support IDD calls? Currently, HyppMe does not support IDD calls. 32. Can I use HyppMe outside Malaysia or when I roam to other countries? HyppMe works on WiFi and 3G data plan, as such it doesn't matter whether you and your friends are on the same network or in a different country. Just make sure your friends have HyppMe and check your data plans and roaming rates. 33. Is HyppMe available overseas? Yes. You can use HyppMe for free over WiFi, however, you may be charged a data usage fee on the 3G network, depending on your mobile network usage. 34. Does HyppMe include any advertisements? Currently HyppMe do not push any advertisement. 35. What is the recommended phone to use HyppMe? HyppMe is supported on most Android and iOS Smartphones. However, for Androidbased phones, it is recommended for Samsung S3, Samsung S4, Samsung Note 2, HTC 1, Sony XperiaZ and Nexus 4 Smartphone. 36. What are the minimum requirements to use HyppMe? The minimum requirement is to have at least 150MB RAM on your Smartphone. Any lower than that may faced some difficulties on media files. The amount of free space left on the SD card is at least about 100Mb. 37. Can HyppMe access the contact information on my Smartphone? Upon activation, HyppMe will access the users’ phone book to make it easy for users to find their close friends: (Only the telephone numbers in your contact information will be transferred to our servers. All information will be encrypted.) Your own phone number, and other information obtained from your contacts list/phone book will not be disclosed and will be protected. 38. Can I call TM Customer Support via HyppMe application to enquire HyppMe or other TM products? Yes. 39. How do I reach HyppMe Customer Support? You can call our customer support directly via HyppMe application by clicking on the ‘TM Unifi Center’ Or ‘TM Customer Service 100’ placed on top of your contact list or you can email your request to [email protected]. 40. Can I call 999 or 994 (or any emergency number) using HyppMe? No. 41. Is there any group Chat in HyppMe? Yes. This feature will be made available in our future releases.
