“Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.” Psalm 4:1 Dear friends, God is faithful, merciful and always hears our prayers. We are lucky to love and be loved by a God that is so good. Thank you for your devotion to the work of Fields of Life and for your faithful prayers towards our projects and partners in East Africa. Fields of Life Staff The Fields of Life Head office has a new member joining the team in June; Margaret is filling the role of Operations Manager. Kindly pray that she will be used of God to make a unique contribution to achieving the overall FOL vision. Please pray for safe travel and new insight for Ednar as she participates in the Annual Review Event 8th June in Northern Ireland. In preparation for our teams travelling over the summer months, many of our Ugandan staff will be visiting various schools, wells and other projects. Please pray for safety for the staff as they travel around Uganda and as they prepare to receive our teams throughout the summer months. Education Please pray for renewed enthusiasm and energy for the teachers and staff associated with Fields of Life schools as they receive training on effective management, child protection guidelines, improved literacy, etc. Tense political climates throughout different countries in Africa can have a negative effect on the operation of many Fields of Life programmes, especially education. Please pray for the well-being of our sponsored children and the many thousand other children attending out schools across East Africa. WASH Programmes Clean water is an essential element to a healthy and happy life. Its abundance and the ease of accessibility makes it easy for us to forget what a positive difference it makes in our daily lives. Please pray for continued success in our water drilling programme and for continued provision of clean water to the thousands of people who need it throughout East Africa. Short-term Mission Teams A fact find team has gone out. They are funding a bakery in Treasured Kids Primary school. Please pray for safety throughout their travels and for continued inspiration for those they are helping. Please also remember the remaining 10 short term mission teams as they continue to fundraise and piece together effective programmes for their time away.
