7/17/2010 TRIPLE D‟S RACE CARS „N‟ TRACKS AMERICAN BUSINESS IDOL PROJECT By Dylon Douglas, President July 17, 2010 Triple D’s Race Cars ‘N’ Tracks My name is Dylon Douglas, President of Triple D‟s Race Cars „N‟ Tracks and my business model is on how to teach youths, primarily males (but females are welcome too) of age groups 5 and up on how to design toy cars and build race tracks for entertainment purposes. In my business, my primary income is earned from the sales made from custom unique „tailor‟ made battery operated models and designs ordered by the prospective client. Within my first year, my annual sales is targeted to $15,000 which consist of 1 model a month at $1250 per model. Another streamline would be to solicit my promotional and kits model (collectors‟ items) at $500 per unit/6 kits total making $3000 in annual sales revenue. My sub-total of annual income for the first year equaling $18,000. My company costs will consist of but not limited to ordering: →Supplies (i.e, paper, tape, glue, markers, pencils, tracks, cement, scissors, toy race cars, etc.) →Marketing & Advertising →Company operating expenses →Professional Services →Trade Shows & Business Expo Events Some of my earned income will be spent to hold classes and workshops that will consist of 10 kids to a class. There will be a fee for each student at the cost of $25 a weekend equivalent to $100 for the month per student. My total income revenue from this would be 1000 a month just from teaching youth classes on how to make and build their own toy race tracks. *Classes will be in stages: Paper model classes (beginner) Mock Scale Model Classes (intermediate) Final Product Classes (advanced) My brand will be „One of A Kind‟ tailor made models by your man “D”. My models will be known for their uniqueness and my tag line….No two models are ever alike! Triple D’s Race Cars ‘N’ Tracks In the next year my goal is go from building toy race tracks to designing toy race cars to compliment my one of a kind race tracks. From this goal, the following goal will be to model a race car video game of different levels (each track going to stages of higher levels) for entertainment (See Sample below), to eventually selling my models to retailers (in stores: i.e., Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, to name a few). My ultimate goal is invest in land where I will build real race tracks for fast cars to compete on. MAKE YOUR OWN TRIPLE D RACE TRACK VIDEO GAME: My tracks and cars will have an attitude and reputation of having mean curves, twists, flips, twirls, and crazy stunts. Triple D’s Race Cars ‘N’ Tracks Some of the ways I would market my business are but not limited to: →Passing out Flyers and Brochures →Creating a website with demos and games →Blogging, Social Media, & Search Engine Marketing →Ineternet Marketing ebooks for drafts and prints on “How To Designs” →Telemarketing, Direct Mail, Email Blasts →TV Radio Ads My target audience are youth ages 5 and up. Primarily males but females are welcome too. The „D‟ team: In the beginning will consist of 1 assistant and 2 volunteers for class/workshops. As my business develops I will eventually need to hire a full staff A few ways I plan to solicit my business are but not limited to: Outdoor racing events and contests for kids to come out and test out their tracks. This will attract new customers and have existing customers as repeat business, host a “build your toy track” expo twice a year for exhibits to be posted, Each year around the Thanks Giving and Christmas Holidays, I plan to donate 1 unique „tailor‟ made battery operated model design to a child whose family may not be able to afford one.
