ICED COFFEE BREWING GUIDE This card will help make it simple and extremely rewarding for you to brew and serve Starbucks® iced coffee in your operation. Included you’ll find recommended iced coffee blends, quality tips, and brewing instructions. Recommended Starbucks® Iced Coffee Blends Medium Smooth and balanced – not too soft, not too strong Flavor: Crisp and caramelly smooth Region: Multi-Region – Latin America and East Africa Pairings: Key lime pie, mango Iced Coffee Blend Same coffee served in Starbucks retail stores. Organic Serena Blend TM Available in Decaf Flavor: Crisp and citrusy Region: Multi-Region Blend Pairings: Lemon loaf, lemon muffins • We do not recommend brewing directly into airpots or other insulated dispensers. Coffee will not cool to proper temperature. • Allow at least 10 minutes for ice to fully melt into hot concentrate before serving. • Serve over ice at room temperature or from cooler (refrigerated) to avoid further dilution. • Shelf life of brewed iced coffee: • 4 hours at room temperature • 8 hours refrigerated P R O D U C T I N F O R M AT I O N Quality Tips 1 ICED COFFEE HOW TO BREW ICED COFFEE SHUTTLE BREWING INSTRUCTIONS Steps: Set brewer on “Half Batch.” Place 9 oz. portion pack of coffee into brewer basket with paper filter. Fill a heat-safe pitcher or container with two liters of ice. Place heat-safe pitcher or container with ice under brew basket. Start the brew cycle, brewing directly into the container. Once brewing is complete, transfer to smaller pitchers with lids or selfserve dispensers. Yield = 4 liters (135 ounces) Reminder: When brewing is complete, remember to set the brewer back to “Full Batch.” AIRPOT BREWING INSTRUCTIONS Steps: Place two 5 oz. portion pack (10 oz. total) of coffee into brew basket with paper filter. Fill a heat-safe pitcher or container with two liters of ice. Place heat-safe pitcher or container with ice under brew basket. Start the brew cycle, brewing directly into the container.
