Social Services Department. Provides information and referral services; senior advocacy; and
general assistance accessing entitlement programs such as QMB, SLMB and Medicare programs.
Prescription Assistance for Seniors. This program helps seniors receive FREE prescription
medications that may be too expensive for seniors with high medical expenses and limited incomes. You
must be 60 years or older, reside in Washington County and meet the eligibility requirements of the drug
company. Hundreds have received FREE medications. Call to schedule an appointment. 373-3914.
Health Screenings. Blood pressure and blood sugar screenings are offered on a regular basis and
special screenings occur throughout the year. Special screenings will be listed in the newsletter and on the
O’Neill Center website.
The O’Neill Center offers many educational programs designed especially
to provide seniors with meaningful life-long learning experiences. See our newsletter for up-to-date

Trips – Social Opportunities.
The O’Neill Center is a great place to make new friends and meet old
ones (see partial list of activities on back). Day trips are popular, offering a great way to enjoy shows and
other major attractions. See our newsletter or web site for up-to-date schedules.
Newsletter. O'Neill Center publishes a quarterly newsletter to keep seniors up-to-date on activities at
the Center. The newsletter is FREE and there are no dues or membership fees to be a participant at the
O'Neill Senior Center. If you wish to receive the newsletter just leave your name & address with the front
desk attendant or simply download from O’Neill Center’s website.
The O’Neill Center provides transportation services to and from medical
appointments as well as to and from O’Neill’s Adult Day Center. It is important to schedule your trip in
advance if possible. The Transportation Coordinator is available to take your calls Monday through
Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM at 373-3914.
Transportation.
Homemaking and Living Assistance. The O’Neill Center provides regular assistance to seniors who
can no longer perform routine housekeeping chores such as light cleaning, laundry, essential errands, or
meal preparation. The program manager makes an in-home visit to help determine individual needs and
plan of care. Those who require only occasional or one-time help with heavier household tasks or minor
household maintenance are also assisted. Call the living assistance program coordinator 373-3914 for
further details.
Homemaker Respite. This program offers relief and assistance to family caregivers who care for a
loved one with Alzheimer’s Disease. A homemaker aide comes to the home and may perform basic
housekeeping tasks if needed, or simply be there to give the caregiver some much needed rest or time to
themselves. Available for any person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or related dementia and who resides in

Adult Day Center The O’Neill Center provides an adult day health service for the senior who may
need protective oversight, socialization, health monitoring, personal care, or assistance with other
activities of daily living. The day service provides a safe and friendly environment with enjoyable
activities to keep mind and body active. Transportation is available when needed and is provided by our
