Day 1 (15Jun & 17Jun) Auckland
Departure
Tonight you’ll fly overnight with
Sichuan Airlines directly to Chengdu.
Day 2 (16Jun & 18Jun) Chengdu Arrival
(L)
Arrive in Chengdu, the hometown of
the Giant Panda. Your local guide will
meet you by the entrance of the arrival
hall and travel to Leshan (about 2
hours) to visit the Giant Buddha which,
at 71 metres, is the world’s largest
stone-carved Buddhist monument.
Take a short boat trip which gives you

an excellent view of the statue from
the river.
Transfer back to Chengdu. Check in
your hotel. Free at leisure.
Day 3 (17Jun & 19Jun) Chengdu (B/L/D)
This morning you will make a stirring
visit to Chengdu Research Base of
Giant Panda Breeding which is not only
the most important panda scientific
research centre, but also dwelling for
more than 100 Giant Pandas.

Museum (about 1 hour), the relics of a
ruined city with a history of over 3000
years. Numerous exquisite objects of
bronze ware, jade ware, stone ware,
gold ware and other ar ticles are
unearthed from this site, which evident
the highly developed civilization of the
ancient Shu kingdom, and verify that
Chinese culture as an entity came from
diverse sources.
Continue to visit the silk factory.
In the afternoon, transfer back to
Chengdu and get a glimpse of the
local peoples life by paying a visit to
Jinli Old Street with Three Kingdom
culture. Time steals away from you
quietly while walking on the lively
streets which are full of delicious
local snacks, delicate artifacts,
interesting folk shows, etc.

Day 4 (18Jun & 20Jun) Chengdu (B/
L)
Your transfer (about 1.5 hours)
to visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation
system. It is one of the world first
irrigation systems and ratified into
the World Cultural Heritage list.
It`s located on the upper reaches
of the Minjiang River and it has
brought the vast Chengdu Plain
under irrigation and has protected
it against droughts and floods for
over 2,300 years.
Continue to visit the well preserved
h i s to r i c d i s t r i c t s i n C h e n g d u,
Kuan Alley (Wide Alley), Zhai Alley
(Narrow Alley) and enjoy authentic
Sichuan Opera performances .
Day 5 (19Jun & 21Jun) Chengdu
Departure (B/D)
Tonight you’ll be driven to Chengdu
airport for your midnight flight back
to Auckland where your tour comes
to conclusion.
Day 6 (20Jun & 22Jun) Auckland
Arrival
Arrive back in Auckland.
