What if I don’t want to personalize my debit card? What are my image options? What is a Personalized Debit Card? It’s just like a normal debit card, except you get to choose the photo or image that appears on the card. We offer two types of Personalized Debit Cards. You can choose to have a small “thumbprint” photo on your card so that you have a photo ID on your card or you can opt to put a full image on the front of your card. You can use almost any digital picture to show off your family, friends, pets or your vacation. Of course, there are image guidelines, but as long as your image complies with those basic rules, you can create a check/debit card that’s unique to you. How do I create a Personalized Debit Card? You can create your card online through Members 1st Online. Log in, select Services > Card Services > Debit Card Personalization. Simply follow the instructions. It’s easy! Can I go to a branch to order my Personalized Debit Card? You can begin the process in a branch. This is where you begin if you don’t have our Checking Account or you have our checking account, but haven’t yet signed up for a debit card. Personalized Debit Card orders may then be completed online at your convenience from your personal computer. You must be a Members 1st Online user to be able to personalize your debit card. Can I order my Personalized Debit Card online? Yes, providing you: 1. Have a Checking Account 2. Already have our Debit Card 3. Have recently signed up for a Debit Card 4. Use Members 1st Online How much does a Personalized Debit Card cost?
Your first Personalized Debit Card and all renewals of that card are FREE! If you wish to change the image on your card at any time or switch between a photo ID debit card or a full-­‐image debit card or you have lost or damaged your card, the cost is only $5 per card. What if I don’t have an account at Members 1st? In order to have our Personalized Debit Card, you need to open an account, have our Checking Account and sign up for a Debit Card. In order to have our debit card, you are required to open a Checking Account. How do I create my Personalized Debit Card?
With the Personalized Debit Card creation tool, personalizing your own debit card is simple and fun! Simply log in to Members 1st Online, click Services > Card Services > Debit Card Personalization. Follow the prompts to upload your favorite digital picture, customize the image on your card by moving, rotating and resizing it, preview your card and submit. Your image will be reviewed for compliance in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and our Image Guidelines and once it’s approved, you will receive your card in the mail within 7 to 10 business days. If for some reason your card image is denied after being reviewed, you will receive an email notification and a phone call from one of our VISA Card Services associates. How long will it take to receive my card? Once your image is approved, you should receive your card within 7 to 10 business days. Can my joint account holders design their own cards, too? Sure. Every card associated with the account can be customized by the individual cardholder. What if the image I submit isn’t accepted? We’ll notify you by email if there’s a problem with your image, and you’ll have the opportunity to submit another photo. In most cases it may be as simple as selecting an image that isn’t trademarked or under copyright. If you were paying to have a personalized Check Card and your image is rejected, you will not be charged unless you resubmit another photo and it is accepted. Can I change the image on my card?* Sure. And you can do it as often as you like. You’ll have to pay a $5 fee to change your image and have a new card issued. Does customizing my card change anything about my account, like my PIN number? No. Your account, your PIN and everything else will remain the same. The only things that would change would be how your card looks and the expiration date since it’s based on your card issue date. Does a customized card work just like a regular card with a non-­‐personalized image? Yes. If you currently have our flag design or have opted to have one of our other images on your debit card and decide to personalize your card with your own image, the card will work exactly the same. What if I don’t want to personalize my debit card? What are my image options? Our “standard” design is an American Flag. If you would like a different card, we offer additional pre-­‐
