Down to Earth Farm Animal Care Volunteer
Role Summary
Animal Volunteer Care Taster Day, Saturday 27th September 2014:
Solent Students’ Union are working with Down to Earth Farm to provide you with an
exciting new opportunity for those of you that have an interest in animals and
outdoor activities. The farm has agreed to host a ‘Taster Day’ for individuals looking
to becoming REGULAR volunteers with the farm. This is not a one-off volunteering
project. The day will include any relevant training required.
Volunteering at Down to Earth
We are always on the lookout for skilled volunteers to help us out on the farm. We
have teams who do the evening lock up, support staff for our Adults with learning
difficulties program, gardeners, competent DIYers, and Friendly faces who are
comfortable dealing with the public and groups of excitable children!!

Reliability, willingness to get your hands dirty, trustworthy,
enthusiastic, interest in animals/gardening.
