Descriptions
Advanced Acting Technique
All Advanced Acting Technique classes are primarily
the same. What makes them different is that they get
progressively more challenging. Since acting students
begin their training at many different ages and stages,
these choices in level allows us to find a class that’s
right for them. This program is designed to give our
students the advantage they need in this competitive
field and specializes in proper preparation for college
auditions as well as the acting industry itself. Discipline and respect for the craft are taught, along with a
thorough process of education in the art of acting.
These classes are the most popular and most enduring, not to mention they are the heart of our school.
Its curriculum has been widely recognized by some of
the country's most respected universities. Many of
this program's alumni have gone on to attend virtually
every major college conservatory theatre program in
the world, many others have gone on to successful
careers in film, television, and theatre. Judging by its
reputation and success rate, we think you'll find these
unique classes to be second to none.
Meisner Intensive
Using techniques taught by Sanford Meisner, this
class explores the actors emotional life, connecting
with their partner, and truthful acting. Meisner’s exercises are a foundation of our school. This technique is
primarily taught in colleges and conservatory programs but we have found it works wonders with
young people. Students will be walked through all
parts of Meisner’s exercises and spend their summer
learning to craft exercises, living truthfully on stage
and really engaging with their partner.
Scene Study
Special Projects
Dive into your scene and spend time really exploring
everything about it. Students will learn how to break
scenes down beat by beat, find their actions, and get
in depth their characters. For anyone interested in
pursuing a career in theater or film this is a much
needed class.
Students are always approaching us with ideas they
have about projects they want to do. Whether it be
a short film, learning set design, writing a movie, or
creating a web series; this is the class students can
make that happen. Each student will come to class
with a project in mind. During the course of the
summer they will work with various instructors and
specialists in their field to attain a reachable goal by
the end of the summer. It’s a great way to get the
ball rolling on something you’ve always wanted to
do or create a project for a college application.
Playwrighting/Screenwriting
In this class students will have the opportunity to create original characters and scripts. They will learn
what is important to include in a script, how to work
with actors and directors, and how to market completed scripts. Finally students will be able to participate in staged readings of their plays and screenplays.

Viewpoints
Viewpoints is a technique developed to help the actor
be truly free on stage, get out of their head, and work
as an ensemble with others. Through basic exercises
students will explore Viewpoints, which is complimentary to our Meisner technique, and then fold it into the
rehearsal process.
