About ISSET
President Obama appointing Charles Bolden
as the head of NASA.
The International Space School Educational Trust was
founded fifteen years ago by Chris Barber. ISSET has
received great support from NASA space centres and
NASA personnel, including astronauts and
rocket scientists
Previously Chris had a distinguished career in
business and school leadership with his last school
being led from below average to become the top
performing pre-university state school in England
and Wales.
ISSET has developed a range of
programmes throughout the world
that use the context of space to
make a difference to the lives of
young people.
General Charles Bolden has taken place on
several ISSET programmes.

December 2013 US programme.
The programme has a challenging
and excellent framework. It is
superbly stimulating for our
students who went on to increase
their achievement in their school
work. Also it is great to receive such
positive feedback from parents.
ISSET has received the
prestigious Sir Arthur
Clarke Award for
Education Achievement.

Heath City Learning Centre Birmingham.
About Space Camp
Space Camp utilises the amazing inspiration of human
space exploration to provide a programme of stimulating,
hands-on, multi-media based student activities. We apply
state-of-the-art brain development and thinking skills to
instil the NASA “you can do it” spirit.
Space Camp makes a real difference to young people’s
educational achievement, especially by engaging them in
science, maths, engineering and technology.
Space Camp is very flexible and activities can take place
in a single day or spread across 5 days.
Each day is designed to be challenging, accessible and
enjoyable, with real life applications from the high attaining
world of space exploration.
Each day features aspects of NASA leadership, teamwork
and personal development drawn from real astronaut
training programmes.
Space Camp can be arranged for in-school hours, as an
after school club, or on a weekend.
