July 2016 - Antelope Ridge

Issue #7: July 2016
Antelope Ridge
Do unto others…
321 Hunt Drive
Box Elder, SD 57719
All of the residents here at Antelope Ridge have the right to the quiet enjoyment of their
homes. Unfortunately, not everyone finds enjoyment in the same way, at the same time, or
at the same volume.
Hours of Operaton:
8am to 5pm M-F
While there are guidelines regarding noise in the Resident Guide and we adhere to the Box
Elder noise ordinance, it is also a matter of common sense and respecting each other.
When you share a wall, you’re probably going to hear some noise from the other side – and
they will hear noise from you, too!

So please keep that in mind when you turn up
the volume. And if you feel like your neighbor
is being excessively loud, talk to them. They
might not realize just how loud they are being.
As always, you can contact the Welcome
Center for assistance or the Box Elder Police if
it is after hours.
Did you know there are 825 homes in our
community?

Hunt Update
Happy Birthday!
The Continental Congress approved the
final wording of the Declaration of
Independence on July 4, 1776, after
working for a couple of days on the draft
submitted on July 2nd and finally agreeing
on all of the edits and changes.
July 4, 1776, became the date included on
the Declaration of Independence and the
beautiful handwritten copy that was signed
in August, 1776 - now displayed at the
National Archives in Washington D.C.
Maintenance
Hunt is proud of our military
affiliation – 70,000 homes built
for military members and
200,000 military residents.
Fireworks Safety
What is the safest firework? IT’S THE ONE YOU DIDN’T LIGHT!
Please remember that fireworks are not allowed in the community and
the safest way to enjoy them is at a public display.
Even sparklers are dangerous – they reach 1500 degrees and aren’t
suitable for children.
Consider providing glow sticks to children to enjoy while watching public
fireworks displays – with trained professionals and emergency response
personnel on hand.
Please have a safe and happy Fourth of July. We really want to see you
safe and happy on the Fifth of July, as well.

Probably just about everyone can finish the catch phrase of this wellknown protector of our forests. While Antelope Ridge is not a forest,
we still need to protect it. Summer means campfires, fire pits and
torches, but they must be used responsibly. For this reason, we
adhere to the county fire restrictions, and we are currently under a
burn ban. Violations of the ban could result in fines of $120 or more.
For more information on the Meade County Fire Restrictions please
