This helps keep things real and on the level where we live. We believe that life happens every day and if we don't weave God into that fabric we miss what He really intended. Friendships that matter, people that challenge us and bring out the best in who we can be. Our approach for Family Life Night is a place to connect with others at North Pointe and build genuine friendships. It is a place to learn together what it means to follow Christ. Our groups study the Scriptures, figure out what it means to love our neighbors and reach out to others who are not connected. They are for real people who are looking for real friends and real change. Our Groups on Family Life Night comes in all varieties. Join one and start growing today because life really does happen here! Every Wednesday Night, the North Pointe Family gets together and starts with a meal @ 6:30 and in depth study in the Word @ 7pm. There is something for all ages so bring the whole family and join us. It all starts Wednesday Night at 6:30pm! Discovery Class - Own the Vision On the first Wed. of every month at 7pm, Discovery of North Pointe Church/Membership Class, taught by Pastor Brent and Deacon Brown will help you understand the vision and the values of North Pointe Church. This 1-hour class is how you can take the next step of making North Pointe Church your home and becoming a member. Don't miss the opportunities this fall to become a Member of North Pointe Church. “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” –Romans 12:4–5 3 HONOR & ACCESS TO GOD Our prayer is that you’re always prospering and well, as your soul prospers. It is God’s will that we abound and be full as He gives us richly all things to enjoy. (3 Jn. 1:2; Phil. 4:18; 1 Tim. 6:17) It is faith and pleasing to the Father that we look ahead with glad expectation and excitement about the greater things to still come in this year of much more. Even though we don’t yet fully know what they will be, we can be sure that as we follow Jesus, the path will get brighter and brighter. I have been listening to Kenneth Copeland for over 40 years, Jerry Savelle and Jesse Duplantis for over 30 years, Creflo Dollar for over 20 years, and Keith Moore for over 10 years, and during this time the Lord has used these great men of faith to help me grow from faith to faith and grace to grace. The Lord has stirred us to believe along with these great men for greater things in this year of much more. He has also stirred us about the tithes and offerings we give unto the Lord and I’m seeing it clearer than I have ever before. Since we’ve made some adjustments and embraced these truths even stronger in faith, we are getting a continuous stream of finances coming our way. While the reasons vary, many Christians still don’t tithe. This is one thing that Gail and I have never struggled with, since we both were taught from our early days from our parents and saw the results it brought them. With that said, it is a big mistake not to tithe. It results in the forfeiture of divine protection and supernatural increase. I know there are numerous ideas about this subject, but let’s simply it to that which is between you and God personally. 4 Continued on page 5 I’m convinced more than ever that tithing is about HONOR and ACCESS. It’s acknowledging God as our source, that He’s where all our increase comes from, and then honoring Him from the heart with the physical act of bringing the tenth part of our income. And it’s also about giving Him access to the financial and material part of our life, which allows Him to protect us from the devourer and multiply our seed sown. (Malachi 1 – 4) Tithes are not about the law; it’s not about duty. It is about honor and ac- cess. I pray each of you will receive more light, more peace, and more joy, and become more established in this truth than ever before. Your faith and action joined with ours is a key to our laying hold of the greater things in this year of much more. Greater things are happening to those who are fully committed to God’s plan and give Him honor and access to their lives. Life is too short to waste it being sad, confused, scared, bitter or in lack. Senior Pastors Rev. Billy & Gail Sanders Let’s redeem the time and make the rest of our days count. I’m confessing that Gail and I and you are at the right place at the right time and not the wrong place at the wrong time living this life happy, till we hear “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and “enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” (Matthew 25:21, 23) Billy & Gail Sanders, NPC Senior Pastors 5 Kids/Uth “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 It’s hard to believe that we’ve arrived at the last quarter of 2014, but here we are. It’s common, at the end of every year, to stop and reflect at what’s been accomplished throughout the year. At Northpointe Kids, we’ve had quite the year indeed. Going all the way back to our Easter and arriving at our most recent summer event, our VBS with Captain Rex, we reached hundreds of kids, many of whom had never set foot in our church before. During our VBS, over 100 kids and adults came to hear the life changing message that Captain Rex and Crew deliver to audiences all over the country. It was awesome to see both kids and adults come together and be spiritually fed and uplifted during the week long event. Thanks to Trinity Child Care sharing a campus with NorthPointe, we were able to reach kids that wouldn’t normally attend the event on their own. As we approach the 6 end of the year, it can be easy to get in a mindset that we’ve done our work for this year. Looking back at the previous months, you can get a feeling of completion and accomplishment as you realize how many people were reached by the events hosted and participated by Northpointe. But the work isn’t finished. Kids/Uth The end is not a time to grow “weary of doing good” as Galatians put it. In fact, it’s a challenge to increase our good works and strengthen our resolve to “harvest” for the Kingdom. We have several ways we can continue to do good in this last quarter of 2014. Coming up, we have the citywide Safe Trick-OrTreat with a challenge attached to it. Bring a bag of candy or donate $10 for the candy. We reached over 2000 people last year as they received hotdogs, bibles, and other gifts from us. We are looking forward to doing more this year! Closer to home, we are always looking for energetic people who have a desire to serve in NorthPointe Kids. If you feel like you want to participate in this awesome ministry, talk to Josh. Finally, be on the look out for Angel Tree this year as it will help us to “Reach Out” to kids of our community this holiday season. It may be easy to focus on how much time has flown by this year. But there is still time to Reach UP, Reach IN, and Reach OUT in these final few 7 months. Join us as we continue to be faithful to be a light to the world and share Christ’s love with those who need it. On behalf of NPKids, I wish you all the very blessed holiday season this year. Thanks for another great year of allowing us to partner with you to build up your child’s faith and relationship with our heavenly Father. “CHARIOTS OF LIGHT” is an outreach to those that love motorcycles and classic vehicles. We allow the Lord to turn our toys into tools for evangelism as part of the Great Commission that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:19 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.” This too is part of NPC as we Reach Out to others. The meetings are at 6:30PM on the 1st Thursday of every month at Little Tex in Copperas Cove. The Copperas Cove Area Leader, Norm, will be glad to answer any of your questions concerning Chariots of Light and he can be reached at 254-371-4334. Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter, (Cove House) is a place that North Pointe Church REACHES OUT to and gives to because Cove House is loving and compassionate, and where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is boldly and shamelessly proclaimed. Our ambition is for everyone in Copperas Cove and the surrounding area to have sufficient shelter, food, employment, and clothing. We desire for Cove House to be a place where an individual can have their health, educational, and emotional needs met with all done in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of God. Cove House would love for you to serve with them, in donating goods, financially, volunteering, and praying. If you would be interested in donating in any of these ways to Cove House please send your contribution to their mailing address which is: P.O. Box 1808, Copperas Cove, TX 76522, www.covehouse.org Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc. provides compassionate care, practical help and accurate information to women who believe they're pregnant and who may be considering an abortion. They offer help without judgment and a path to Christ, both in word and deed. Saving unborn children and their moms from the tragedy of abortion is at the heart of all they do at Hope Pregnancy Centers. Also, as Christians, we are called to "speak life" into many different situations and to care for people with many different needs. During our years of ministry we have learned that when new moms and dads learn to become better parents, Hope Pregnancy Centers decreases the chance that they will choose abortion in the future. Men and women who have abortions in their past, find their programs bring healing that breaks the cycle of destruction. Every single decision for Jesus Christ is a decision towards life and away from death. You’re not alone: 61% of adults don’t keep track of their money, and 60% haven’t checked their credit score in the last 12 months.* In addition, 65% have neglected their credit reports. In an age of electronic everything, it’s easy to lose track of the real value of money – and what you are doing with it. Try following these tips to become more money mindful. 1. Log your expenses every day. In-stead of waiting until the end of the week or month to record expenses, try getting into the habit of recording them every day. Request a receipt when possible so you can go over the day’s expenses easily. Or pay for all of your purchases with the same debit or credit card so you can easily see your spend-ing habits. The goal? To become more aware of your daily spending habits so you see what’s really happening with your money. 2. Share your financial goals. Aware-ness is the first step toward positive change. Sharing your goals with a trusted family member or friend can help you stay ac-countable. 3. Only spend what you can see. If you are having trouble staying on top of your money, try shopping with cash. When you spend with credit or debit regularly, it’s easy to forget the real value of those dol-lars because you never actually see them. Instead, try spending only cash for a week or more so that you can be more aware of what’s actually happening with your money. 4. Reward yourself without spend-ing money. When you reach a goal, do you automatically spend money to “reward” yourself? Try thinking of ways to reward yourself that don’t involve spending money. For example, spend an afternoon enjoying a free event, trying a new recipe, or reconnect-ing with a friend or loved one you haven’t seen in a while. When you set goals and reach them, try starting new positive money habits. *“61% of U.S. Adults Don’t Keep Track of Their Money,” Businessinsider.com, April 2, 2014. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected] (Subject: November Breakfast and amount in party) You can help change the life of a prisoner’s child FOREVER this Christmas. Every child has a story. For 2.7 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration. Angel Tree, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. This unique program gives our church an opportunity to share Christ’s love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners. Angel tree is coming to North Pointe and it will take all of us doing our part. NPC we will help bring this joy to children this Christmas and mend broken hearts. Each gift you provide is so much more than a present — it’s relief, joy, and hope that can change young lives. Be sure to watch out for more information of this Mission in the up coming weeks.
