In light of the
recent events happening globally, a campaign
of #NotInMyName was
initiated by Muslims in
the UK. This campaign
is to send a message
that regular normal
Muslims like us condemn the barbaric acts
of a few who have de-
cided to hijack Islam. As
part of this campaign,
the Sunday School
handed out T-shirts to
all students and staff on
Sunday, November
22nd. The campaign is
aimed at sending the
message that DO NOT
COMMIT THESE ACTS
IN THE NAME OF MY
RELIGION OR NAME.
A generous
brother from the community donated these T
-shirts, so any donation/
contribution towards
the expense will be
highly appreciated.

Sunday School Update (cont.)
The Sunday
School held its annual
nonperishable food items
drive focused at teaching our students the
concept of giving, helping others in need and
giving thanks for the
blessings that we have.
This year the food was
donated to Della
Lamb.
Della lamb is a

meal kits to families in
need for decades including local Kansas City refugee families. The school

ICJC Girl Scouts
Troop Daisy participated in
Horse Grooming Program
which provides an introduction
to horse care and learning
about horses. A team of 6 kindergarteners and first graders
enjoyed spending time with the
horses in camp Winding River
on Saturday November 7th. The
students were very excited to
get promoted to next level so
that they can learn horse riding.
Troop Brownie, Junior
and Cadette joined the Grooming and Horse Riding program
on November 8th. This program
is aimed at providing young
girls an opportunity to develop
a stronger sense of self, to foster healthy relationships with
their fellow riders, and to learn
how to take what they've experienced and feel confident
about sharing it with others.
Kristy Ladd, the Girl
Experience manager interviewed all the ICJC Girl
Scouts about their experience
of horse riding and their story
was featured in Spot Light on
Sprouts@ICJC
Sprouts
Club organized their monthly
give back to Community event
"Feed the Homeless” in collaboration with Hunger Van on
November 29th.

dedicated volunteer team
of sisters and their children,
Sprouts Club managed to make
200 sandwiches, 100 salad
bowls and fruits for the Kansas
City homeless.

of all the families who helped
and made this event possible
on a cold and rainy Sunday.
Special thanks to the drop-off
volunteers who are dropping
the meals for the last three
months at KC Union Mission. Please email
