'Disposable' with a clear conscience
Mention disposable tableware and images of piles of rubbish often spring
to mind. However, there's a way this can be avoided – with Chinet's
environmentally-friendly disposable cellulose tableware.
We are fortunate to see a widespread trend towards an environmentally conscious lifestyle. We're no
longer interested solely in what goes on to our plates, but also keen to know what our plates are made of.
However, our concerns for the environment often stops short of the door at many events, where even the
basic china plates don't get a look in. This doesn't need to be the case though. Chinet's tableware is cast
from cellulose, which is obtained by recycling the side-runs (waste products) from drink carton
manufacturing processes. It is fully compostable after use. This presents a particular benefit for major
outdoor events because the material breaks back down into its natural components when left outside.
Chinet's tableware was put to good use at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer and the Nordic World Ski
Championships in Ramsau.
As well as being environmentally friendly, the tableware is also extremely versatile. The thick, stable
material also allows soup to be served and the differently shaped designs ensure that the tableware meets
a diverse range of needs. Chinet's attractive products are white and printable, and can also be used safely
in the microwave.
What's more, to avoid having to use a plastic spoon in a cellulose dish, we offer disposable cutlery made
from poplar wood. A patented process produces ergonomic knives, forks and spoons – perfect for any
occasion and, of course, fully compostable. Bon appétit!
