The Luncheon Pilot Club Chesapeake was organized in 1977 under the parent organization,
Pilot International. The mission of Pilot is to serve by furthering Pilot International's
humanitarian efforts through charitable, educational, and research programs in communities
throughout the world and the vision is to achieve universal awareness and prevention of brainrelated disorders and disabilities.
The Club meets the second Tuesday at 12:00 noon, TowneBank,137 Mt. Pleasant Rd.,
Chesapeake, VA.

PROJECTS
• Assist the Coastal Clubhouse of Chesapeake, a facility that helps to train individuals with disabilities
with job skills
• Assist Chesapeake Care Free Clinic in the eligibility process and circulate stroke prevention information
to the patients/clients.
• Support a first grade class at Thurgood Marshall Elementary with school supplies and assists with
tutoring reading
• Give the BrainMinders presentations and fit with bike helmets all of the first grade classes at Thurgood
Marshall Elementary
• Sponsors two Anchor clubs – Hickory Middle School and Grassfield High School
FUNDRAISERS
• Annual spring plant sale
• Fall 'Great Big Garage Sale‘
• Pancake breakfast at our local Applebee's
Annual Brain Power Walk at the Home Depot
Safety Day. We gave away bike helmets and
BrainMinder coloring books. Also distributed
literature on Pilot International and brain safety
