About Anne Frank
The exhibition includes:
Over 70 years ago, Anne Frank, a German Jewish teenager,
was forced into hiding in the ‘secret annexe’ with her
family and others in Amsterdam, escaping the persecution
and extermination of Jews by the Nazis.
• A look at Anne’s childhood, set against the rise of the Nazis and the Holocaust
During her time in the ‘secret annexe’, Anne wrote a
diary, which was a profoundly honest account of her
two years in hiding.
• The Anne Frank photo album, with photos of Anne and her sister Margot
Published by her father after her death in Bergen-Belsen
concentration camp, Anne’s Diary of a Young Girl has
inspired millions of people, including Nelson Mandela
during his incarceration.
• Contemporary stories exploring how the issues that affected Anne are still
relevant today
• An almost life size replica of Anne’s room in the secret annexe
• The chilling genocide tunnel with powerful film footage
• Replica artefacts from Anne’s life and the Holocaust
• A chance to declare a commitment to stand up for what is right and speak out
against what is unfair and wrong by signing the Anne Frank Declaration
We hope that you have an informative, meaningful and memorable visit.
This exhibition is brought to Nottinghamshire through the generosity of
Nottinghamshire County Council.
