Race to
the Top
(O rde ring
A dje ctive s)
Materials: One small counter or game piece per player, one dice
Object o f the game: To be the first player to make it to the “You Win!” space
Directions: Each player rolls the dice
and puts his/her game piece on the number rolled at the bottom of the board. On the player’s turn, the player can move 1, 2, or 3 spaces. Each move can be taken vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Players may not move backwards. • The spaces that the player moves on a turn must follow the correct order of adjectives. For example, a player can move to “two,” then to “red,” then to “plastic.” However, a player could not move from “American” to “large” because that would not be the correct order.
• If the player moves incorrectly, he/she goes back to the space where he/she started that turn. Players continue taking turns until one player lands on “You Win!” That player is the winner.
