Capturing the End of an Era...
OSCAR would like to wish
everyone a fun and festive
seasons greetings!
We would also like to thank
everyone who has helped

months, together we
really have secured

work. The visit proves that residents
concerns have been listened too, and that

work carried out to clear this site has had
almost no impact on residents.
But the visit also gave a glimpse of the
industrial heritage of the area, which OSCAR
members have photographed for future
reference. Contractors are also
photographing progress on site and salvaging
some relics to be displayed in OSCAR.

Olympian Effort to secure BMX & Scooter Park!
OK, so it might not be as big as the Olympics - but OSCAR are making
an Olympian effort to secure a new BMX and Scooter Park for the area.
We have had a great response from local residents and are now at the
second stage off securing funding to pay for the new sports facility.
The proposed Park will be on land next to the Enthusiasm
Community Centre on Cotton Lane, and we are hoping
to provide coaching sessions to help youngsters learn
new skills.
For more information or to get involved in the
project contact Anne or Sue at OSCAR.
