One Direction is an English-Irish pop boy band based in London,
consisting of members: Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry
Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.
Their two albums Up All Night (2011) and Take Me Home (2012),
broke several records, topped the charts of most major markets,
and generated worldwide chart-topping singles, including "What
Makes You Beautiful" and "Live While We're Young".

born in Port Arthur, TX on January 19, 1943. She died in
Hollywood, CA of a heroin overdose on October 4, 1970. “Me and
Bobby McGee” became a posthumous number one single in 1971,
and thus the song with which she is most frequently identified.

This month's tip is from Amy Neral, the Coordinator of
Youth & Virtual Services at the Hubbard Public Library in
Hubbard, OH.
According to Amy, "Our patrons love the Freegal Music database.
During library open house events, we have an area dedicated to
Freegal. We also offer one- on-one training for patrons that are
new to music downloads with our Book-a-Librarian program.
However, the most unique method we use to get the word out
and remind our members and staff about Freegal is a game we
developed for community outreach. We have a black foam board
with labels featuring "apps" that conveniently allow you to have
your library with you 24/7. In a community setting, we offer the
public opportunities to throw a penny or small eraser at the
board and identify the app it lands on. We ask that they make
their best guess as to how that app relates to the library. They
get a prize just for playing and almost everyone that has tried it
has asked about all of the apps on the board that they don't
recognize. It's a quick and easy way to inform people about
Freegal and introduces the ones who are already aware of Freegal
to the mobile app”.
