Crest = top of the wave
Trough= bottom of the wave
Rest Position= where the medium would be if there were no waves
Amplitude= how far above or below the rest position the wave is
Wavelength= must have only one crest and one trough in it
Compression= the part of the wave that is “pushed together”
Rarefaction= the part of the wave that is “spread apart”
Wavelength= must have only one rarefaction and one compression in it
