In this Edition
We welcome the warmth of Spring and the chorus of birds, glistening bayside
waters and fresh garden growth. In this edition we talk about the importance of
nutrition for seniors and discuss a topic we are often asked about by clients –
should I sell my house now or later? Our annual Spring Fair is coming
up on Sunday 18th October, so make sure you put a date claimer on your
calendar. There’s only three information days remaining this year –
numbers are limited, so don’t miss out and call us to make a reservation.
RETIREES FLOCK
TO SYDNEY EXPO
Happy Queenslanders! We smiled our way into the hearts of Sydneysiders
attending the Sydney Retirement, Lifestyle and Travel Expo in July, at the
Rosehill Event Centre. The national expo has a large number of exhibitors all
targeted towards retirees and we decided to bring a little slice of Queensland
to cold and wintery Sydney by recreating a courtyard at the Village.
Floor to ceiling the walls of our stand were covered in an actual photo taken
at the Village and the scenery was complete with an outdoor table setting,
real life plants and delicious bags of lollies (pineapples and bananas, of course).
For 3 days we talked and talked at the expo and then when the expo finished
we walked and walked – determined to see the sights of Parramatta and take
in its incredible history.
Most importantly, we launched our latest campaign specially dedicated to
Sydneysiders. If you’re in Sydney or you know someone who is and you’re
interested in exploring retirement living options here in South East Queensland,
visit our website www.rrl.net.au/sydney for a special offer. This is a rare
opportune time to take advantage of the buoyant Sydney real estate
market and acquire a fantastic new lifestyle.

Healthy
Eating =
Healthy Living
Living a healthy lifestyle which incorporates staying physically active, challenging your brain and fuelling
your body with nutritious food is so important – no matter what your age. Renaissance Victoria Point is a
community centred on maintaining a healthy balance in all these areas for our residents. Healthy eating
options available for residents include convenient frozen meals, regular morning teas and lunches and
making use of a plethora of fresh food markets located within walking distance of the Village.
Prescare’s gourmet meal service, The Contented Chef delivers nutritious and tasty frozen meals to
Renaissance residents on a weekly basis. Delicious options including Chicken Mignon, Lamb Rissoles,
Creamy Salmon & Vegetable Pasta Bake, Apple Crumble and Marmalade Bread & Butter Pudding.
Prepared by a dedicated team of chefs, the quality meals are very popular amongst residents. They’re
quick, easy and ideal for everyday convenience or when unexpected situations occur. Even when you
return home from a trip away and haven’t had a chance to go to the shops.
In line with a foolproof method of good food + good conversation = good times, Renaissance residents
enjoy a monthly lunch together in the Leisure Centre catered by talented Chef Cyril Bonny. Residents are
well looked after with a delicious lunch and dessert.
For the ‘MasterChefs’ in our community we have a thriving community garden in the Village, producing
all kinds of salad ingredients. As well as multiple fresh food, health and speciality food stores are located
right next door at the Victoria Point shopping precinct. And for those who just don’t feel like cooking, the
Residents Association organise various meal nights each week and an abundance of restaurants, cafés
and food outlets surround the Village.
Renaissance Retirement Living 7th Annual Spring Fair
will be on Sunday 18th October from 10am to 2pm…
TO SELL
NOW OR WAIT?
THAT IS THE QUESTION…
Renaissance is committed to reducing any stress involved in the decision
making and moving process. Three concerns commonly raised are:1. Downsizing and relinquishing years of accumulated items.
2. Confidence in securing a chosen unit.
3. Somewhere to reside if the house sells before a chosen villa is ready.
Perhaps you may also be confronted with similar concerns. Be assured you
are not alone in the process. It has all been done before. Our Lifestyle
Consultants are here to help you and they know skilled professionals
who can assist you.
The following is a summary of useful
things that may ease your concerns
Start by obtaining a preliminary assessment on your home from three local agents along with their
proposed marketing strategy. This enables you to consider the full financial implications of how much
you may get for you home, what funds you want surplus to assist with your future retirement lifestyle and
expenses associated with the sale and moving process. Then you will have a good idea of what you have
to spend on your retirement accommodation.
Renaissance encourages clients to have their homes sold or on the market before entering into a formal
application process. In some cases a preferred villa may be under construction, this can lead to hesitation
in selling your home. However we have evidenced disappointment in the past where future residents have
not been able to sell their houses prior to the completion of their new villa. Which has resulted in them not
being able to move into their selected unit.
We can’t predict with accuracy what the property market will do at any given time, but we have an option
for future residents to assist them in securing their chosen villa and take advantage of the current demand
for residential property. For more details about how we can help you in the process of selling and moving,
contact our Lifestyle Consultants on 07 3820 7700.

Village Update
Hello, Friends of Renaissance! Since our last Village Update we are
very pleased to announce the release of Stage 27 and Stage 30. As
the shape of the site starts to wind along the watercourse and funnel
towards the finish, we have now commenced rejuvenation of the
bushland area. When you’re visiting the Village in the next few weeks,
you’ll notice the ground cover scrub has been cleaned up and we are
planting beautiful native trees and bushes to assist with the natural
design and movement of the watercourse.
Established Villas
Brought back to ‘as new’ condition, established Villas are highly sought
after. Each villa is fully refurbished by our team of skilled experts and once
finished resemble a newly constructed villa. This process is something
we take a lot of pride in and it creates the quality you experience when
entering the Village.
Available established villas include:
Villa 1003 - Macleay Mk 3 This charming ‘Macleay’ one bedroom
plus study villa with lounge, separate dining and courtyard area awaits
its new owner. The garage has been converted to another sitting area,
but this can easily be re-established if vehicle accommodation is
preferred. This villa is $498,500 plus chattels of $1,001 – ducted air
conditioning and some window furnishings (white timber blinds).
Villa 714 - Moreton Mk 4 You will be amazed at the space, storage
and open areas of this modern and appealing Moreton style villa. Centrally
located and close to conveniences, it features two bedrooms plus study
with ensuite, family and lounge rooms as well as a formal dining area.

NEW VILLAS
Stage 28
is nearing completion and new residents are due to
commence moving into their new homes at the end of August. Two villas
remain available in this Avenue featuring tranquil watercourse views. The
Keppel style villa has two bedrooms, plus ensuite and separate bathroom,
it also features spacious open plan living areas and a study nook. It offers
great value, without the compromise on space and storage.
Villa 2802 – Keppel Mk 2 priced at $529,500
Villa 2807 – Keppel Mk 2 priced at $535,500
Stage 27 now released and moving fast! Scheduled to be
built in two stages, the first 8 villas will be constructed initially, with the
final 4 villas to complete this Avenue being built at the same time as the
creation of one of our most adventurous styles yet (more on this to come).
Available villa styles range from $550,000 to $785,000 and include
the Keppel Mk 2, Stradbroke Mk 6 and Lindeman styles.
Stage 30 just released with 7 Villas available. This avenue
contains the last of the Lady Elliot and Lady Musgrave villa styles – hugely
popular, these villas are purposely designed to take advantage of the
watercourse views and they will not last long. Four Stradbroke Mk 6
styles, including one stand alone and a single Keppel Mk 2 style
round out the rest of Stage 30, with prices ranging from $565,000
to $845,000. Residents of this Avenue will experience convenient access
to the Leisure Centre via the boardwalk over the watercourse.
We are fast approaching the final stages of the village and exciting
times are ahead for the Renaissance community. We are open 7 days
