Matters arising from the Minutes Rule books have arrived. Ngatea has found one bag of goalie gear. The Minutes to be reformatted so that jobs to be done can be listed at the bottom so they don’t get lost! There will not be a Woman’s intercity team. Affiliation fees – Dave to bring to the next meeting. 5. Constitution Have received a copy from BOP which everyone is to go home and read. Any suggestions to go to TVHA for collation. A meeting will be held on 2 nd May at the Sports Centre at 7.30pm to finalise the Constitution. Janet to contact Maree to let her know. Rule Books Each team will be received a complimentary copy. Inward accepted and outward approved: J Tee/J Stephenson – carried. 6. Finance The first invoice to the Turf Trust for $2300 has been paid. $1035 to be paid to HNZ. Waihi College and Thames HS have now paid their outstanding fees. Balance is $13,000. Expenses for the BDO – namely umpire costs and lunches for the Midlands Ambassadors be covered by TVHA. Moved that the bills be passed for payment: D Hurle/L Simmonds – carried. 7. General Business Intercity The next 3 games are at home but we have to provide umpires. Candace Bloom is to be asked and Jeremy Cryer will also be contacted. Umpires There is a huge shortage of umpires in the senior round and this needs to be looked at. Women umpiring men’s games also seems to be a problem. Julie will talk to Candace to see if she can have any input in this regard. Discussion in respecting umpires and what can be done about this. Senior Teams A general discussion on how we can increase the number of senior teams. A suggestion was using more secondary players to fill gaps. Info Booklet Karen West presented the handbook and the information in it. Three different formats were presented. Decided to go with the A5 booklet in colour. These will be handed out to each registered player/family in the Association. Will also do some black and white copies to have around. Thank you to Karen and Kim for their work with this and to Teena Corbett for the typing. Draw Confirmation required that the games will go back to 30 minute halves after Easter. Janet to confirm with Boris before the Minutes get sent out. Umpire jackets Janet has got prices for some waterproof jackets. They are $35 plus GST plus Logo which will come to about $40. 8 jackets to be ordered, 2 of each size, sm, med, lge and XL. Resolved that the above jackets be purchased. D Hurle/J Tee – carried. BDO Julie wished to thank everyone who helped, in particular Boris and Cobras ladies for running the kitchen and everyone else who came along. U15 rep teams Application has been received for the Boys. Tammy has tried to get an indication of numbers for the girls. Will need to get organized straight after the holidays. 14th May Keep this date free as the Hauraki Plains College will be fundraising on this day for their senior teams to go to Tournament. There will be a Bookfair during the day and a Games Evening that evening. 8. Next meeting to be held 9th May at 7pm 9. Meeting closed 8.41pm
