The purpose of this app is to review basic math and english skills. Each of the four
options provided allows the user to review one basic skill. The Math option allows the user to
practice simple to more difficult arithmetic and algebraic problems. As the user answers more
questions correctly, the difficulty of the questions increase. The Definition option gives the user
a word and four possible definitions. It is up to the user to pick the correct answer. The spelling
options helps the user notice and correct common spelling mistakes in the English language.
The user is given a misspelled word and is expected to type in the correct spelling. The last
option is probably the most difficult. A single word is given to the user and the user is expected
to type in up to three possible synonyms to that word.
The target audience for this app is middle school to high school aged students. This app
can be used as a pre-­SAT review guide of sorts. Even if just used for a few minutes a day, the
app will help in refreshing the user’s most basic math and english skills.
