AURORA BEAN STARTER
™
GENERAL INFORMATION
Aurora Bean Starter is a new starter specifically
designed for soybeans. Aurora Bean Starter does not
contain any N-P-K, so, seed safety is not at risk and
early season growth can be optimized.
Aurora Bean Starter stimulates increased
early-season nodulation and root mass and improves
uptake of applied nutrients.
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Aurora Bean Starter may be used directly or diluted
with water. If diluting, make certain continuous by-pass
agitation is operational. Starter fertilizer equipment
should be clean when first introducing Aurora Bean
Starter to the tank and associated equipment.
Equipment should be calibrated properly to deliver the
appropriate total volume of product – in either straight
or diluted form.
USE RATE
Aurora Bean Starter should be applied at: 1 gallon/acre.

Introducing Aurora's New Biostimulant
What is a Biostimulant?
Biostimulant is an umbrella term for products that stimulate natural processes to enhance/benefit
nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to stress, crop quality and ultimately increase yield
potential.
Biostimulant Categories
Biostimulants are split into 4 major categories. They are: extracts, microbes, synthetic chemicals,
hormones or a combination of these categories or a category with a nutrient or pesticide.
What is the Goal of a Biostimulant?
The ultimate goal is always yield. Biostimulants can increase yield by keeping the crop at a “steady
state” allowing photosynthesis and respiration to be performed at an optimum level
even when the plant is under stress.
NP-37
WHAT IS A PLANT HORMONE AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
What is a Hormone?
• Chemical messenger synthesized in one cell that modulate processes in another cell
• At vanishingly low concentrations, hormones have dramatic effects on growth and
development
• Provides the “promote” or “impede” signals for plant metabolism
• Affects gene expression and transcription level, cellular division and growth
• Works in tandem with each other at varying ratios of one or more interplaying to affect
growth regulation
Cytokinin (Kinetin)
Stimulates cell division, involved in shoot growth, delays leaf
senescence and activates dormant buds
Gibberellic Acid (GA3)
Stimulates shoot elongation, stimulates flowering, regulates
production of hydrolytic enzymes in grains
Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA)
IBA is an auxin that enhances root growth, involved in apical dominance,
stimulates cell elongation, enhances fruit and seed development
