Within the space of two weeks Jock changed from a bubbly energetic dog to
a very sick boy and was put to sleep to save further suffering .
A few words in his memory.
To call him a dog hardly seems to do him justice, though in as much as he
had four legs, a tail and barked, I admit he was, to all outward appearances,
but to those of us knew him, he was a perfect gentleman and friend.
His spirit will continue to be with us through his off-springs, he will not be
forgotten.

Molly was our second Brenholm, and was all we expected, and more, of an
English Setter bred by Ann and Glyn Meredith. Loving and gentle, and even
stayed close on walks, coming when called. She was a show girl, and
achieved one reserve CC, but mostly she was a pet. She curled up with our
grandchildren, and in later years was most likely to be found upside down,
on the settee, she welcomed new puppies who readily curled up with her at
night. We are still devastated to have to say goodbye to her just one week
short of her tenth birthday, and cherish the memories we have of her.

Brenholm Intrepid Lady of Earldoms

Possibly one of the most cantankerous English Setters to have graced
the show ring over the past years, but certainly one of the most loving
and faithful with a character that was certainly all her own.
Much missed by Val and Dave Cozens and all the other setters that
still live here all be it slightly quieter.

Pictured above is my lovely Doris who was p.t.s. to save her dignity, this is the
hardest thing I have ever written.
Doris nearly made her eleventh birthday, she was nursed by me for all of those
years with various ailments but she was such a happy girl even though at times
she was very poorly. Life here will never be the same she was my little mate, and
I miss her wagging tail and smiley face as does Mariglen Marvelous Mabel her
soul mate, who completely stopped eating for weeks after Doris died, I thought I
was going to lose her too.
