Mid-Point Review Stage: Update PDR
This user guide provides instructions for an employee to review their PDR form in advance of the mid-point review
meeting. The PDR form sits with the employee to edit from when it is finalised at objective setting stage to when the
mid-point review meeting takes place (5-6 month period).
(NB. The e-PDR system is designed to be viewed and updated on a laptop or desktop computer so it is recommended
that you use one of these during mid-point review activities)
Section 1: How to Update your PDR form
Log in and Access your Form
1.1 Using the icon on your desktop, log into the e-PDR system with your
username and password.
1.2 Click on the word ‘Home’ (top left of screen) and select ‘Performance’ from the drop down menu. The ‘My Forms’ screen will be displayed. Your PDR form should be listed below (if nothing is displayed
then speak to your line manager to ensure he/she has routed the form).
In the ‘Step’ column, the form is now listed in the ‘Mid-Point Review’
stage of the PDR process. Click on the title of the form to open it.
Update Progress on your SMART Objectives
1.3 In the ‘Objectice’ section add comments, evidence or examples of
progress against a SMART objective, by typing into the text comments
box underneath that objective. Important - put the date next to each comment so you can identify when you typed it. Click on the tabs on the right
side of the page for a reminder of the content of that objective.
1.4 To update the objective details, click on the ‘Pencil’ symbol at the
end of the objective sentence. The ‘Edit Objective’ pop up window will
open. You may wish to update these fields:
• % Complete – Will show as 0%. You may wish to estimate what
% you have achieved so far.
• Status – You may wish to change the status to one of the options
in the drop down menu. This will also change the coloured button
next to the objective on the PDR Form.
• Milestones – If you have met a milestone you can insert the date
you achieved this.
• Performance Actual – If you have achieved the objective and a
numerical target has been set, you may wish to insert the actual
figure you achieved.
• Probability of Success – You may wish to change this from ‘medium’ to ‘low’ or ‘high’, depending on how things are going.
1.5 Click on the ‘Save changes’ button at the bottom of the pop-up window. This will close the window and return you to the PDR form screen.
To close the window without saving, please click on the ‘Cancel’ button.
Please note that any changes you make in the ‘Edit Objective’ window
will overwrite the previous content.
