Group 1 – Feeding opens at the “Dunlop Roundabout” and closes at the Palo Seco Velodrome
Group 2 – No Feeding allowed
Course Description:
This Grade 3 Rated course will have a neutral zone between the assembly location at OWTU HQ and the
Mon Repos Roundabout where the official start will be opposite the Mon Repos Fire Station on the
southbound lane of the San Fernando By-Pass Road. The race will continue along the San Fernando ByPass onto the South Trun Road, Mosquito Creek and onto the Southern Main Road through Rousillac, La
Brea and Point Fortin.
At the commonly known “Dunlop Roundabout” before entering into Point Fortin, the cyclists in Group 1
will turn left onto the South Central Road or commonly known as Mora Road. The cyclsits in Group 2 will
continue along the Southern Main Road to finish in front of the Point Fortin East Secondary School.
Group 1 cyclists will continue along the South Central Road then will turn left at the Cap-de-Ville junction
and onto the San Fernando Siparia Erin Road (SS Erin Road) through Buenos Ayres, Erin, Palo Seco and
Siparia. In Siparia, the race will turn left onto the Siparia Old Road, where it will continue until turning left
onto the Fyzabad Guapo Road (heading towards Fyzabad). Group 1 cyclists will finish in front the Fyzabad
Secondary School (formerly Fyzabad Composite) along the Fyzabad Guapo Road.
Junior Caribbean Road Championships:
Cyclists seeking to represent Trinidad & Tobago at the Junior Caribbean Road Championships are
required to participate in this event. The time standard is as follows:
Junior Men: 2:04:00
Junior/Juvenile Women: 2:30:00
Juvenile Men: 2:05:00
The CCC has one category for Junior Women (15-18years), therefore Juvenile women wishing to represent
T&T must compete in the Junior Women category. The quotas for Junior Men will be 3, Juvenile Men – 3
and Junior Women – 3.
