Announcements! Urbana 2003 Make sure you sign up for Urbana by tomorrow! (Urbana 2003 is an amazing missions conference, and we college students are in a great season for it!) The fee increases after tomorrow, but don’t wait because spots are quickly filling up! Every hour counts! Contact Ryan Hunter at [email protected] to share your excitement about Urbana =). Also, turn in your scholarship applications today at fellowship meeting to Susan. Questions about scholarships? Contact Susan VanRiesen ([email protected]). Ultimate Frisbee Ok Elliot, I’m still not showing up for Ultimate Frisbee because… I don’t know how to play! I’m afraid people will laugh at me and then beam fluorescent disks at my head if I show up to Wilbur Field at 4pm on Friday. What? No experience necessary? You’ll teach me? It will be fun and exciting? I get to make new friends? You’re sure no one will beam Frisbees at me? Wow! That sounds great!! Thanks Elliot! What was your email address again in case I have a Frisbee nightmare? [email protected]. You rock. Prayer Ministry Training Susan will be conducting a prayer ministry training session after the meeting tonight to teach us to minister to each other with prayer. If you’re interested in being a part of the prayer ministry, or even just desiring to grow in your life of prayer, come to this training session! All are welcome and invited to receive training this quarter and begin ministering winter quarter during fellowship meetings. (Ministering through prayer outside of fellowship meeting is also a great option!) Contact Susan: [email protected]. Bayshore Christian Ministries If you’re interested in volunteering with a Christian ministry group this year, Bayshore Ministries helps children in East Palo Alto with academic tutoring and bible club activities. Anyone interested in serving this ministry for about 2 hours a week should contact Sung-woo Cho ([email protected]) or June Park ([email protected]). Volunteers must attend a training day on Nov. 8, and can start late this quarter or winter quarter. Jen Blue Support Attention Sophs, Juniors, and Seniors: we have the opportunity to provide our beloved Jen Blue (formerly known as Jen Chou) with financial and prayer support as she ministers in Los Angeles. If you would like to become a partner in prayer and monthly financial support, please pick up an envelope on the table after fellowship meeting. Contact Susan ([email protected]) with questions. John 21:15-17 NIV 15 When they had finished eating Jesus said to Simon Peter, “ Simon Peter, son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord” he said, “ You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son Of John, do you truly love me.” He answered, “ Yes Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “ Take care of my sheep.” 17 The third time he said to him, “ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “ Do you love me?” He said, “ Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.”
