Tips and ideas for
your big night
Thank you for organising a Purple Pamper Night! This booklet will give you
some ideas on how to make the most of your fundraising and some fun
ways to make your night more purple! Please remember the fundraising
team are here to help so get in touch if you have any questions.
How to maximise your total
Pick your date in advance and let everyone know.
Keep everyone up to date with your progress via social media.
Let your guests know in advance you will be asking for donations.
On the night have a tip jar on display.
Consider holding a fundraising game, like a raffle.
Are your friends talented? Why not hold a skills auction?
Ask anyone who can’t make it to consider making a text donation

Please remember - you are fundraising for a fantastic cause. We will use
every penny you raise to help support the 54,000 children and adults in
Scotland affected by epilepsy.
How to make
purple cupcakes
For 24 cupcakes:
For the icing:
170g butter or margarine
250g softened butter
170g sugar
600g icing sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
170g self-raising flour
Red and blue food colouring
2 tablespoons of milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4 and line a muffin tin with paper cases.
Cream together margarine and sugar till light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating continuously.
Sift in the flour and mix gently.
Spoon mixture into prepared muffin tin.
Bake for 20 minutes (dependant on cake size) until golden brown and skewer
comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack before icing.
How to - Make purple buttercream icing
Cream together the butter, icing sugar and vanilla extract.
Add 2 tablespoons milk and mix until fluffy.
Add red and blue food colouring a drop or two at a time until you achieve the
desired colour.
Please take care when baking and children should always be supervised by a responsible adult.
How to make
a purple mojito
For one mojito:
Juice of 1 lime, freshly squeezed
8 - 10 mint leaves
Two tablespoons of blueberries
(fresh, frozen or dash of blueberry
juice)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 shot rum
100ml club soda
Crushed ice
Extra blueberries, mint and to serve
Directions:
Add ice, lime juice, mint leaves, blueberries and sugar to the bottom of your
glass. Mash together with a cocktail muddle (or back of a fork) Add rum and club
soda. Mix well and serve some blueberries and mint leaves as a garnish.
Tips
Replace rum with a extra blueberries for a booze free alternative
Lots of thirsty guests? Make a batch and serve in pitchers
Fresh limes can be replaced with cordial
Try blackcurrants or blackberries for a twist
How to make
a purple garland
You will need:
Sheets of tissue paper
Scissors
Ribbon or cord
Glue (optional)
Fold a sheet of tissue paper in half
lengthways, then in half width ways.
Cut into 2cm wide strips leaving 5cm
border at the top.
Once fully rolled twist in middle, then
fold in half and twist again to form a
loop. Repeat to create more tassels.
Fold out flat then tightly roll down
middle crease. Use your fingers to
separate tassels if they become tangled.
When you are ready to hang, string your
tassels onto ribbon, string or cord. Keep
in place by tying or use glue.
