While the executive recruiting industry has evolved over time, the characteristics of a successful recruiter
remain unchanged– a commitment to excellence, an unyielding drive to succeed and unparalleled market
knowledge. Since joining the recruiting industry in 1996, David Levy has established himself as an expert
in his field. His consultative approach to recruiting ensures that he finds the best candidate for every
position, which is proven by his track record of making long-term, successful placements for his clients
and candidates.
Prior to joining Lucas Group, David was a Senior Account Executive at Randstad, an international
recruiting firm based in the Netherlands. He then joined Lucas Group in 2001 as a Senior Partner in the
Accounting & Finance division where he specializes in filling positions in the $70K to $250K range for a
diverse clientele ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to emerging companies in the Chicago area.
While at Lucas Group, David has conducted searches for firms such as Equity Office, JP Morgan, Leo
Burnett, Motorola, Northern Trust and Orbitz.
David’s drive and tenacity earned him Lucas Group’s Platinum Elite award, which is given to the top 20
percent of recruiters based on yearly billing, and he has become one of the highest-performing recruiters
in the Chicago office as well as throughout the nation. Personable and strategic, David maintains
relationships with his clients and candidates beyond the initial placement, many of whom often later return
to him for his recruiting services. The continuity of his practice, combined with his honesty and
thoughtfulness, has allowed him to create an extensive network that he is able to tap into for the benefit of
client companies and candidates.
David has a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago. Outside of recruiting, he enjoys
reading literature, studying the Italian language and fatherhood.
