Thomas “Robert” Walker was born on March 2, 1929 in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
Thomas was employed as a truck driver. He loved to cook, play cards
& play scratch offs. He was also a very good dresser.
Robert loved traveling and visiting family with his wife Geraldine. He
also enjoyed going fishing with his friends in his spare time. The
children and grandchildren in the family loved him dearly and he had a
special way with bonding with animals too. He was a strong man and
always trying to keep his wife and family happy.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Wright-Walker, son
Wendell Walker, Step-children Michael Wright, Kenneth Wright and
April Wright, sisters May Francis Simpson and Bertha Mae Hope
(Clarence), one nephew Casey Wendell Walker, one niece Lisa
Anderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
You would never know that Robert was in pain, hurt or sick because he
never wanted anyone to worry about him. However, God hears what is
not spoken and understands what is not explained, for his love doesn’t
work in the lips or in the mind, but in the heart….and as much as Robert
loved us all, in his heart he wanted the pain and suffering to end. God
heard his cries and took his hand and now he will feel no more pain, no
hurt and no more tears. He will be able to dance around in his new home
in heaven.

For every pain that we must bear
For every burden, every care
There is a reason.
For every grief that bows the head
For every tear drop that is shed
There is a reason.
For every hurt, for every plight
For every lonely, pain-racked night,
There is a reason.
But if we trust God, as we should
It will all turn out for our good
He knows the reason.
