RECIRCULATION FILTER
A recirculation extractor with recirculation technique filters the air without making use of an external outlet duct.
The filtering occurs through a (washable) carbon filter or plasma filter.
RECIRCUL ATION USING A C ARBON FILTER
The air is guided through the filter that binds unpleasant odours to it. After the cooking air has passed the filter and it
is largely free of oil and grease, the newly filtered air is blown back into the room. Carbon filters take up odours and
grease particles, which is why most filters regularly need to be replaced. This regularity ensures the perfect working
order of your extractor and keeps your residue free from grease and unpleasant odours. There are also long-life filters
that only need to be replaced after three years.
Carbon filters can also increase the residue that arises in the case of air suction. If the capacity of the motor is too high,
this increase residue, which is why a lower motor speed is usually advised. The lower motor speed makes sure that the
air is sucked in with less resistance, allowing the extractor to work perfectly and produce very little sound.
RECIRCUL ATION USING A PL ASMA FILTER
A plasma filter is capable of eliminating all odours. The electronic plasma filter is installed on the motor’s air outlet.
The electrical functioning of the filter is switched on by the air flow of the extractor. The sucked-in contaminated air
(fats, pollen, odours, etc.) are transformed into clean air and CO2 by means of a natural reaction. The filtered
(recirculated) clean air is blown back into the space. Used normally, the filter can function for approximately 10 years
without maintenance. Thanks to the conically shaped inside there is almost no resistance, and the filter has a
sound-protective effect.

The filter has been specially designed to purify cooking odours and can straightforwardly be installed on a Wave extractor.
When switching on the extractor, the air flow starts moving. The airflow is blown into the plasma filter and detected by
a sensor that – entirely automatically – switches the filter on or off. box including plasma filter circular

Depending on the flow of air and the quantity of dirty air (smoke, pollen, bacteria, moisture, odours, viruses, fungi, etc.),
a quantity of ionised plasma (O3) is injected. This ionised plasma (O3) extracts O2 molecules from the dirty air, decomposing the dirty air; after which only CO2 and water vapour remain. At the same time, the glass fibre filter is activated
by the electronic filter, after which they work together, attract and subsequently eliminate (burn) dust particles. The
minimal smoke particles that are released in this process are subsequently decomposed by the ionised plasma (O3),
and lastly, all of the air is filtered by the carbon filter. The filter uses a maximum of 15 Watts.
