Band Report
● RVC Honor Band, Friday Nov. 11th at Bellevue High School - 12 students
○ Yessenia Rodriguez, Xitlalli Rangel, Luz Martinez, Jenny Castillo, Adriana Dominguez,
Nelly Romero, Christian Dominguez, Rachael Millage, Emma Melick, Elizabeth Pearson,
Carson Heath, Kelzi Mather
● Numbers for next year
○ 68 current students, 11 seniors, 32 8th grade students
● If 100% retention: 89 students in 2017-2018 band
● If 70% retention: 76 students in 2017-2018 band
● New Band Uniforms
○ See estimate from DeMoulin
○ If we ordered 100 uniforms with no garment bags, our total would be about $40,000
■ CDs we have saved $11,897
■ Donations/grants we have received - Boosters - $5548
■ Donations/grants we have received - School Foundation - $3840
○ Total we have right now for uniforms is $21,285
○ Need a volunteer to help write more grant applications ● Jazz Band I at Holiday Open House, Sunday Nov. 20
○ Rhythm section meet at WLHS at 2:15 pm to load van
○ All members meet at WL State Bank by 2:30 pm
○ Perform at 3:00 pm, we will be done by about 3:30 pm, no tree-lighting

Choir Report
● ISU Honor choir auditions - late October - 8 students auditioned
○ Rachael Millage was selected to attend the Honor Choir in February
○ Dec. 11th Cocoa and Carols - 2:00 pm in gym
Drama Report
● West Liberty is holding Speech contest this year - Saturday, January 14th
● IHSSA has guidelines for volunteers
○ Hosting 10 schools
○ 7 performance centers, start at 7:30 am until 2:00 pm - cleanup after
○ Each center needs to have an adult volunteer (chairperson)
■ Make sure performers go in order, cross off list of performers, read rules
○ Each center also needs a student volunteer
○ Need concessions
○ Suggested donation for attendees
● Olivia needs an adult volunteer coordinator
○ Linley will help with this
● Kristine can make an online sign-up using SignUpGenius
○ Kristine recommends using 2-hour shifts
○ Olivia will send a list of speech students to Kristine
Old Business
● 2016 Patron Letters (131 Letters were sent)
○ Need to update some addresses
○ Will send to Xann
● Marching Band Uniform Check In
○ Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 21-22

● Iowa Basketball Games fundraiser information
○ Ashley email from Kendra at Aramark, needs someone else to set this up
● New fundraising ideas (bags tournament, karaoke night, trivia night)
○ Linley will follow up on karaoke information
○ Community Center is going to start a monthly Bingo night in January
■ Legion = bingo, student volunteers = concessions
■ Lynne will talk to the chairperson to see if the band/choir can get involved

Karen Lathrop will make posters for menu signs
WL Foods will donate 80 lbs of tenderloins
Trying to decide on a pizza option - BP offered $8.99 (not sure about a warmer)
Maybe breadsticks from Paul Revere’s for dinner (goes with lasagna)
Still need to contact Hyvee, Subway, Fareway
Nashville Trip (student to adult ratio?)
○ Ideal ratio is 10/1 - right now we are at 14.2/1
■ We are okay with the current ratio
○ Question - Ashley needs to ask Judy what will happen if students raise too much
money, what happens?
