MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL Dress Code 2015-2016
The following statement shall apply to all articles of clothing: All shirts are to be tucked in at all times. No tight-fitting or oversized clothing will be allowed. Please note that all references to khaki should
be beige in color. It is implied that if an article of clothing is not listed in the dress code, it is not allowed to be worn. The Administration reserves the right of final decisions pertaining to Dress Code.
(Note: Current students who already own Navy Outerwear or Green Plaid Skirts, will be allowed to wear that item until it needs replacement.)

*** Slacks & Shorts are Uniform style (No low-rise or over-sized pants, no more than 4 pockets, no cargo style). Uniform style pants have the inside pockets on the sides of the pants
and placket pockets on the back. Pockets on the back of girl’s pants are optional.
Shorts are to be no more than 4” above the knee from the floor when kneeling.
Shirts Worn UNDER Polos – Girls & Boys – May be Long Sleeved or Short Sleeved T-shirts – Black, Gray, White and Red. No logos.
Hats – Girls & Boys - No Hats, Stocking caps, Caps, or Sunglasses in the school buildings.

Outerwear – Girls & Boys Outerwear such as coats and jackets should contain no inappropriate wording and are NOT to be worn in the classroom. No hoodies may be worn on
campus during school hours.
Hair –
Girls - Hair is to be of a modest style, clean and in good taste. No spiked, shaved or semi-shaved, or multi-colored hair. In general, any unusual cut or color, as determined
by the Administration, will not be allowed. Faddish extremes will not be tolerated.
Boys - Hair must be of modest style, clean, neat in appearance, and in good taste. No spiked, tails, mohawks, or semi-shaved hair. Hair is to be out of the eyes, no longer
than the bottom of the ear lobe and no longer than the top of the collar of an Oxford shirt . In general, any unusual cut or color, as determined by the Administration, will not be
allowed. Facial hair must be neat in appearance. Faddish extremes will not be tolerated.
Jewelry – Girls - jewelry is to be of a modest design and taste. No excessive or gaudy jewelry. No body piercing except the ear, and no visible tattoos. Faddish extremes will not be
acceptable (including large link chains and leather jewelry).
Boys – Earrings are not to be worn at any school function at anytime.
Make-up – Girls -- Must be modest and in good taste. No black lipstick or black nail polish.
Boys -- No Make-Up or Nail Polish is allowed on boys at any time.
Chapel Dress Code
Shirt – Boys and Girls – Oxford style White, short or long sleeved.
Skirts/Jumpers – Girls – Required on Chapel Day – As listed previously
Pants/Slacks – Girls – As listed previously, may only be worn on Chapel day from Thanksgiving to Spring Break, due to cold weather.
Boys – Khaki slacks. No Shorts on Chapel Day.
Ties – Boys – Required – Must be purchased through WCA.
Shoes – Boys and Girls As listed previously.
Relaxed Dress Code
Shirt – Any dress code uniform Polo or Relaxed Dress T-Shirt, to be purchased through the WCA Uniform Store located in the Administration Building.
Jeans – Blue jeans may be worn and must be neat in appearance. No oversized, tight fitting, frayed hems, rips, etc. An appropriate belt must be worn with jeans.
Jean shorts – Must meet the same requirements in length as uniform shorts. No oversized, tight fitting, frayed hems, rips, etc. A belt must be worn with jean shorts.
Capris (Girls) – Capris must be khaki beige or denim in color and be able to have a shirt tucked into them. They must be neat in appearance, no oversized, frayed hems,
rips, etc. Belts must be worn with capris.
Shoes – As listed previously, athletic shoes any color. No flip flops, no boots.
Physical Education Dress Code --Middle School Students Only
Shirt – Official Wright Christian P.E. T-Shirt, to be purchased through the WCA Store in the Administration Building.
Shorts – Athletic Shorts – Black only
Shoes – Gym acceptable tennis shoe.
