Interview with Ms. Bromberg By: Lydia Rothas, Athena Junio, and Rou Bettencourt What is your favorite thing about Rolling Hills? My favorite thing about Rolling Hills is how kind everyone is at the school. Students, teachers, and staff have been so welcoming to me. I truly believe all Redhawks are trying to follow and fullfil the REACH promise. If you could switch grades, which grade would you teach? love teaching 1st grade, so this is a difficult question. I think if I could switch grades it would be to either 2nd or 3rd grade because I enjoy the curriculum being taught at those levels as well. What do you think of the students and teachers here? I think the students and teachers here are very dedicated to learning and being the change. I have feel very lucky to be a part of Rolling Hills because it is such welcoming and wonderful learning community. How do you like teaching first grade? I truly enjoy teaching 1st grade because of the emphasis on reading skills. Early reading is such an important part of education and I love watching the growth that occurs throughout the year. Also, my first graders always put a smile on my face! How do you plan on being the change this year? I am being the change by working with my students and the community to improve the welfare of animals. In addition, I am also being the change by continuing to dedicate myself to the education of my students. What is your class organization and what are you doing in the community to be the change with your organization? The entire first grade is working together to be the change for the SPCA. As a grade level, we have donated needed items to the organization and are planning donation drive in which students will earn money to give to the SPCA. If you could change something about Rolling Hills, what would you do and why? If I could change something about Rolling Hills it would be to have more opportunities for different grade levels and classes to work together. It would help build an even stronger school community if we were all able to collaborate with each other on a more regular basis. I also think it would be beneficial (and fun!) for students of different levels to get to know each other better. Interview with Miss Lilly By: Ruben Vera Q. Do you like working at this school?
