DeLaval side-by-side stall Milking has never been easier Features that help make milking a comfortable and natural process Individual sequence gates DeLaval side-by-side stall incorporates individual sequence gates that enable the cow to enter her stall as naturally and comfortably as possible. By doing so, she is then automatically in the ideal position for milking. This saves you a lot of time that would otherwise be spent on getting the cows in the correct position for milking. Splash guards Splash guards further help the cows to achieve the desired position, again making milking a speedy process. The high splash guards also facilitate in keeping the stalls clean, so that a hygienic environment is maintained for both cows and milkers. Individual sequence gates enable cows to enter as comfortably as possible. Kick-guard pipes DeLaval side-by-side stall also features dependable kick-guard pipes. These pipes are strategically placed in the stalls so that the milker is well protected and yet has full and easy access to the udder. In this way the milker does not have to face any undue interference or discomfort during the milking process. Conventional Exit Sequence gates are lifted up by an electrical drive unit at the same time that the exit gate opens and the cows walk out. Sequence gates are lowered before the entrance of the next group of cows. Can be equipped with a breast rail or In Parlour Feeding (optional). A calm, natural process Great thought has been given to ensure that the cows are as calm and comfortable as possible during milking. The cows are so well positioned in the stalls that it makes it almost impossible for them to move sideways or kick backwards. You are assured of a milking process that is not only efficient, but also safe and practical. High splash guards help maintain stall cleanliness, for herd and milker alike. Front exit lets cows exit the stall quickly and comfortably. Front exit DeLaval side-by-side stall is designed to maintain a steady stream of cows entering and exiting the milking stalls. The cows enter the stalls and stand facing the exit. Hence, once milking is completed and the cows are ready to exit the stall, they leave quickly and comfortably, making way for the next cow to enter the stall. A simpler method of milking DeLaval side-by-side stall promotes milking from behind. This method has been widely regarded as a simpler and more comfortable way of milking cows. This is because milkers are ensured of easy reach and a good view of the udder without any risk to safety. (We recommend a 6-10% gradient on the stall platform, as this will make for ideal access to the udders. The incline will also enable your cows to exit the stalls even faster.) “DeLaval side-by-side stall is very comfortable and simplifies my work. The cows are calm and the milking throughput is high. The milking used to take one hour, now it only takes 40 minutes. Thanks to the front exit I save a lot of time. I am really satisfied with my installation. If I had to consider the same investment, I would do it again.” – Phillippe Rouille, France www.delaval.com Front exit 1000 Technical data Available parlour sizes: 1x3 – 2x12 Stall centres: 685 mm Pit width at floor level: 2300 mm Pit width at top level: 2000 mm Pit depth: 1000 mm (1240 mm with DeLaval adjustable floor) Pit length: (No. of stalls x 685 mm) + 2250 mm Standard features - Galvanised pit edge, cantilevered or bolted - Transparent splash guard - Entrance gate with manual or vacuum control Options - Identification assembly kit at entrance - Stainless steel splash guard with manure gutter - DeLaval adjustable floor Front exit stall - Manually operated exit - Air pressure operated exit as option Conventional exit stall - Electrical controlled exit function - Vertical sliding exit gate - Breast rail - In Parlour feed mangers as option The manufacturer reserves the right to make design changes.
