On behalf of Texas 10 Race Management we would like to welcome
and thank you for your support of the Texas 10 Series.
The
inaugural Texas10 Ft Worth racecourse is a two-loop five-mile
certified USA Track and Field course. Located in downtown Ft
Worth along the Trinity Trail System. We would like to thank City of
Ft Worth and the volunteers for their generous hospitality as host
venue of our 2014 event.

The information provided in this document will help you have a safe
and enjoyable race.
RACE PACKET PICK UP
All runners are required to pick up their race packet on one of the
following dates at one of the following locations:

RACE PACKET ITEMS
Your race packet should contain your race bib (timing device
attached), technical shirt, hat (Kid’s Race packet does not receive a
hat) and some goodies from supporting sponsors. Note: We will not
mail race packets.

PARKING - DIRECTIONS
Race Site – Farrington Stadium, 1501 N. University Drive, Ft Worth,
Texas, 76107 From Austin or North San Antonio via I-35 N:
Driving North on I-35. Take the I-30 West exit 51A. Take exit 13
from I-30 West for Summit Ave. Turn right onto Summit Ave. Turn
left on to W. Lancaster Ave. Follow W. Lancaster Ave over bridge
and turn left into Farrington Stadium parking lot.
From Houston via 1-45 N:
Get on I-45 North. Continue on I-45 North to Ennis. Take exit 247
from I-45 North for US-287 N toward Waxahachie/Ft
Worth. Continue to Arlington. Exit from US 287 North left toward
I-20 West. Take I-20 West and follow signs for I-820 N/Downtown Ft

From Dallas via I-30:
Get on I-30 West to Summit Ave in Fort Worth. Take exit 13 from I30 West for Summit Ave. Turn right onto Summit Ave. Turn left on
to W. Lancaster Ave. Follow W. Lancaster Ave over bridge and turn
left into Farrington Stadium parking lot.
WATER STOPS
There will be water stops at miles 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 along the course.
Each stop will provide Gatorade then Water. Gatorade will be
served in the Gatorade cups and water in the white cups.
We encourage all runners to maintain and practice proper hydration
throughout their training and participation within the event.
LIL TEXAS KID’S RACE
GET UP, GET OUT; GET MOVING is our motto for today's youth.
The Lil Texas Kid’s Race is a one-mile that start and finishes at the
same line as the 10-mile and 5-mile races. There will be one water
stop midway for the Lil Texas runners.
One Lil Texas runner will have the opportunity to walk away with a
$100 bill in our race give away.
POST RACE FINISH FESTIVAL
All runners will be treated to a post race food line second to
none. Our traditional Breakfast Tacos, granola bars, bananas, and
cookies are just some of the items included in our post race food.
There will be Chocolate Milk, water and soft drinks available.
During the Finish Festival we will give away ten $100 bills to our
10-mile finishers and five $50 bills to our 5-mile finishers via
drawing. One Lil Texas runner will walk away with one $100 bill.

FINISHER MEDALS AND AWARDS
All finishers in the 10-mile, 5-mile and Kid’s 1-mile will receive a
finisher’s medal when they complete their race.
The following age groups will be awarded prizes in the 10-mile and
5-mile races with at least three age group participants.

Each age group will receive the following prizes.
1st place - 2015 Comp Entry to TX10 Ft Worth + designated award!
2nd place - designated award!
3rd place - designated award
The overall male and female winners will receive a cash prize of
$150 each and the fastest 5-mile split (male and Female) will receive
$75 each.
NOTE: No Awards will be mailed out after the event.
All awards must be collected at the post race finish
festival.
The Awards Ceremony schedule has been set well in
advance for scheduling purposes. If you can’t pick up
your award and know someone that can, please do so.
ARMADILLO AND TEN GALLON CUPS
The race for the Armadillo and Ten Gallon Cups Continues in Ft
Worth. Each finisher in the 10-mile race will receive a minimum of 5
points. Every club with finishers will receive a minimum of 3 points
for finishers across all races.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can I run with a baby jogger, bike or dog? !
A: No and Yes, in consideration for the safety of all participants;
baby joggers, skateboards, bikes and animals are prohibited on the
5 mile and 10 mile course. A baby jogger will be allowed on the
Kid's 1-mile race. !
Q: Can I run with headphones? !
A: Headphones are not prohibited but are strongly discouraged.
Participants who wear headphones must remain aware of safety
vehicles, race officials, traffic and other runners. Any participant
who fails to follow directions from race officials is subject to
being removed from the racecourse, for their own safety and the
safety of other participants. !
Q: What is the time limit for Texas10 Ft Worth?
!A: All streets must be reopened to traffic by 10:30 AM, and all
participants must be able to cross the Finish Line by 10:15 AM to be
recorded as an official finisher (with time and place). !No refunds
will be given for registered participants who are directed off the
course due to pace - no exceptions. !SAG Wagons and equipment
trucks will follow the last participant to move slower runners to
the side of road, and reopen the streets. These participants will not
be able to finish the race or receive their medal, but may participate
in the post race party. !

Q: Do I need a qualifying time to participate? !
A: No, there is no qualifying time to participate in Texas10 Ft Worth.

Q: Can I walk? !
A: Yes, if you are able to finish by 10:15 AM. !
Q: How many water stations will you have? !
A: There will be four (4) Water Stations along the course and one
(1) at the Finish Line. !
Q: What do I do if I injure myself on the course? !
A: There will be ambulance and bike EMS teams providing medical
support along the course. !
Q: Will there be food at the finish line? !
A: Yes, there will be food at the finish line provided by the event
producer and several other vendors. !
Q: Is the course closed to traffic? !
A: Yes, one lane will be closed for runners. Lanes will be coned off
throughout the race for runners' safety. !
Q: Is the course USA Track and Field Certified? !
A: Yes, Texas10 Ft Worth is USA Track and Field certified. Course
Certification Pending.
