Mission Statement
The mission of the Antonine Sisters in the USA is inspired by Christian principles. We provide compassionate care for
older and disabled adults promoting their independence and dignity in a home-like environment.
Antonine Village Dedication
Sts. Martha & Mary Chapel
In May, clergy, sisters, and more than 150 supporters from near and far gathered at the Antonine Village, a new assisted
living and memory care facility adjacent to the Day Care in North Jackson. Celebrations began on Saturday, May 2nd with
Liturgy in the Antonine Village’s Saints Mary and Martha Chapel and then continued on Sunday with the building’s dedication and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Bishop Emeritus Robert Shaheen and Bishop Elias Zaidan, both of the Our Lady of
Lebanon Eparchy of Los Angeles, and Bishop Gregory Mansour, Bishop of the St. Maron Eparchy of Brooklyn, New York,
blessed the facility. The General Superior of the Antonine Sisters, Mother Judith Haroun, came from Lebanon for the occasion. The festivities were capped by tours of the facility and a reception.

Advisory Board for
many years.
On Saturday, April 11th, the Sisters thanked their benefactors at
the annual St. Anthony Guild dinner. Members of the Guild
enjoyed authentic, home-cooked Lebanese food at Cedars reception Center at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of
Lebanon. As always, we thank many volunteers who made this
year’s dinner possible. For more information on how to become a
member of the Guild and how to support the sisters in their ministry to the elderly and disabled, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sr. M. Madeleine Iskandar, AS, President
Antonine Village welcomed two new members to its Advisory Board
earlier this summer: Jude Nohra and Joe Joseph. Jude Nohra is the
son of the late Deacon Joseph Nohra who served on the Advisory
Board for many years. He is Executive Vice
President of Governance at Home Savings and a member of St. Maron parish. Joe Joseph is President of Joseph Painting Contractors, Inc. in Youngstown.
