NUMBER OF TINES
There is generally
confusion about the
difference between
Rental tines and Long
Wide tines. This picture illustrates the visual difference. Also,
the Rental tines have
a material thickness of
5/16” (8mm), while the
Long Wide tines are
1/4” (6mm) thick.
Here is a quick list showing the quantity of
tines on the various size BCS tillers (all tillers
will have equal amounts of LH and RH tines)
Also: sizes are measured at the TOP of the
tiller hood.
18” tiller: 12 tines
20” tiller: 16 tines
26” tiller: 20 tines
30” tiller: 24 tines
33/34” tiller: 20 tines
38” tiller (33/34” expanded out all the
way): 24 tines
Tiller Tine Mounting Styles
“Non-overlapping” style used with Short & Long
Wide tines and Rental tines. Note that there are 8
bolts & nuts per set of 4 tines, and bolts & nuts
have 17mm heads.
“Overlapping” style used with Long & Short Universal tines. Note that there are 4 Bolts & nuts
per set of 4 tines, and bolts & nuts have 13mm
heads.
