·ThemomentapersonbelievesheissetapartinChrist.
·Whilethebeliever’sstandingisperfectinChrist,hisstate(lifeonearth)isnot.Heistogrowto

PhilosophyofChristianEducation
AChristianschoolwithabiblicalworldviewisaplacewhereeverydecision,individuallyor
collectively,isbasedonthefollowingprinciples:
1. TheBibleisinerrantandGod-inspired,thebasisofallTruthandknowledge,theonly
authoritativeWordofGod,andtheheartofthecurriculuminChristianeducation.
2. InChristianeducation,theremustberecognitionoftotaldepravity,humaninability,andthe
needforthesovereigngraceofGodingivinglifeandlightthroughapersonalrelationshipwith
JesusChrist.(Ephesians2:4,ICorinthians2:14)Inotherwords,manisnotinnatelygoodand,
therefore,wedon’texpectjusttotellstudentswhattheyshoulddoandexpectthattheywilldo
it.Wealsodon’tbelieveeducationcansaveorchangeapersonorsociety;onlyChristcando
that.Genesis8:21says,“Man’sbentisalwaystowardevilfromhisearliestyouth.”
3. ThepurposeofeducationshouldbetoglorifyGodandtoknowHim.Thismeansacquiringa
lovefortheLordthatencompassestheheart,mind,andsoul,beingabletosharethegospelwith
others,andequippingeachpersontoserveHimeffectively.Wearetodoourwork,whateverit
is,asuntotheLordandseeeachcontactasadivineappointmenttosharethecharacterofGod
andthegospelofgracewithothers.
4. ThisworldwascreatedandhasaGod-ordainedorder;itdidnotevolve. Humans,asopposedto
allothercreatures,wereuniquelyanddistinctlycreatedtohavearelationshipwiththeCreator.
Someofthequalitiesthatdifferentiateusfromtheanimalsaremorality,reason,creativity,and
self-worth.
5. Godisthecenterofhistory,andHewilldetermineitsultimateoutcome.Itislinear,notcyclical.
6. TheChristianmustderivehis/hervaluesystemfromthatwhichiseternal,theWordofGod,
ratherthanthatwhichistemporal.Therefore,apersonalknowledgeoftheLordJesus
Christisvaluedaboveallthings.
Inconclusion,thephilosophyofChristianeducationmustbeginandendwithChrist.
