Sloane Square has evolved through time
from a small village with royal links
into one of London’s most exclusive
and upmarket areas. The area boasts
beautiful architecture and a strong
history, making this a culturally
rich and diverse area to live in.
Sloane Square has a fascinating history;
the famous King’s Road was built by
King Charles II to provide a direct route
from Hampton Court to London, it
remained a private road until 1830.
He also commissioned the landlord
mark Royal Hospital Chelsea in 1681,
this stunning building was designed
by Sir Christopher Wren and stands
in beautiful grounds that host the
famous annual Chelsea Flower Show.

Cubitt in the 1820’s and 30’s. The area
features some of the most recognised
addresses in the world such as Eaton
Square and Belgrave Square.

Chelsea Physic Garden
Tucked away beside the Thames, Chelsea Physic Garden is a celebration of the
beauty and importance of plants. This walled Garden was founded in 1673 by
the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries for its apprentices to study the medicinal
qualities of plants and it became one of the most important centres of botany
and plant exchange in the world. Chelsea Physic Garden is a slice of tranquility in
central London and while visiting the Garden, you can dine in the award winning
Tangerine Dream Café.
Battersea Park
Battersea Park is a 200 acre green space, situated on the south bank of the River
Thames opposite Chelsea, and was opened in 1858. The park is home to a small
children’s zoo, a boating lake, a bandstand, and all-weather outdoor sporting
facilities including tennis courts, a running track and football pitches. On the
western side there are two cricket pitches, home to the famous King’s Road
Cricket & Social Club. In the centre of the park is Pump House Gallery,
which is housed in a four story grade I listed Victorian tower.
St Lukes Garden
St Luke’s Gardens has an unusual and attractive flower display, a new children’s
playground and Multi-Use-Games-Area. The park is a popular relaxation area
when visiting the King’s Road as well as being available for use and enjoyment
