ERROR DATA – CORRECTIONS DONE ON FIRST RELEASE, ENGLISH VERSION.
Second release published with corrections.
2007, 2003, 1999, 1995, 1991 –data set and the codebook
The variable ceqvote had a wrong variable label in the first release. The old label was ‘Do you agree or
disagree, that the present quota system in fisheries should be fundamentally changed – or do you think
this makes no difference?’. The correct label is ‘Do you agree or disagree, that preferably all votes in the
country should have equal weight when parliamentary seats are allotted – or do you think this makes no
difference?’.
2003 –data set and the codebook
The variable democimp had wrong value labels in the first release. The value labels in the first release
were: 1’Very well’ 2’Rather well’ 3’Rather badly’ 4’Very badly’. The correct value labels are 1'Strongly
agree' 2'Tend to agree' 3'Tend to disagree' 4'Strongly disagree'.
The variable respfreeright had wrong value labels in the first release. The value labels in the first release
were: 1’Very widespread’ 2’Rather widespread’ 3’Rather little widespread’ 4’Not widespread at all’. The
correct value labels are: 1'Very much respect' 2'Rather much respect' 3'Rather little respect' 4'Very little
respect'.
The variable label for govprfm_DO was cut short. The variable label was: ‘If you try to give the
government marks on the scale from 0 to 10 for its general performance in the last’. The correct full
label is: ‘If you try to give the government marks on the scale from 0 to 10 for its general performance in
the last term – what mark would you like to give the government of David Oddsson for its performance
last years?'.
1999 –data set
In the variable, mainjobflo, there was an unlabelled code, 75, in the first release of the data. In the
second release this code has been recoded into 70 ‘Craft and related trade workers’.

A spelling error in value label (5) for govacro was corrected to 5’against’ (was 5’against)
In the codebook it was stated that in the explanation for mimptask_1, that the respondent could name
up to three tasks. The correct number is that he could name up to four tasks.
