Commerx Announces New President

Exciting news - Commerx is growing!
Commerx President & CEO, Joanna Strong, is delighted to announce that Mr. Jim O’Driscoll, formerly of Bell
Business Markets, will join Commerx as President on Monday, May 30th. Having led the organization as both
President & CEO since 2013, Strong felt the time had come to refocus her efforts as CEO on the overall
vision and strategy of Commerx, while O’Driscoll will concentrate on the day to day operations and growth
of the organization.
“Commerx has been in business for over 30 years and we have seen many other organizations come and
go while we continue to evolve and grow in this ever changing world of IT. It’s time for our next phase of
growth; time to bring in someone with a strong corporate background who can help us operationalize our
processes at that level. To look inward and focus on the day to day needs of the business.” Says Joanna of
the new hire, “Jim has the talent and strengths to bring our teams together, to collaborate and work with
each division to help us evolve and grow yet again.”
As CEO, Strong’s focus will be on ensuring the corporate vision and mission are being driven forward, while
continuing to develop partner relationships in the IT Community, with an emphasis on Commerx’ HPE
Platinum & Pinnacle Partnerships.
Joanna went on to say “I know what’s been working and what we need to expand on, in order to see
Commerx become what I envision in this next phase. And this is exactly the right time to split the role and
bring on someone I can trust. Someone to complement my own strengths and to work in partnership with
on the strategy to help us get there.”
