Age Groups
AGE AS AT DATE OF GALA.
To compete as a 9yr old, swimmers must have had their 9 th birthday, on or before the
31st August. 9yrs may swim up to 4 events (50m only), 10yrs and older may swim up to
8 events (50m &100m), not including relays.
50m swims, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11/12yrs, 13/14yrs 15 & over
100m swims 10/11 12/13 14yrs & over
Awards
Trophy to TOP CLUB
Trophies to TOP BOY and TOP GIRL in each age group based on the Meet Best Swim
using FINA points, i.e. the single swim that achieves the highest points score.
Trophies and medals to First 6 in each Age Group.
Gift vouchers and a trophy for Skins winners and a trophy for Skins runner up.
Relay Medals to the first 3 teams.
Car Parking
Note that there is very limited parking at the pool itself a map showing the location of the
pool and nearby car parks can be found on the website.
Entry Procedure
Clubs are encouraged to use Sportsystems Electronic Entry. The entry file set and full
instructions can be downloaded from the website, please email if help is required.
If entering electronically then entry forms are not required but you must send a completed
summary form with payment. All entry files, paperwork and payment must be received by
the closing date.

Entries are accepted on a first come first served basis until the closing date or when the gala capacity has been reached,
whichever occurs first. Acceptance of entry will be via the published swimmer list on the website. If it is found
necessary to restrict entries then these swimmers will be notified by email and entry fees will be refunded as soon as
possible after the closing date.

The Promoter is Worksop Dolphins Swimming Club.
The meet will be held under ASA laws and ASA Technical rules of Swimming.
Age is at date of gala.
Entries to the gala are taken on a strictly first come first served basis until the closing date
of the gala or the gala capacity has been reached whichever is the sooner. The relays are
limited to the first 10 teams in each category.
5. The meet is licensed by the ASA at Level 3 for inclusion in British Swimming Rankings.
6. All events are heat declared winner, heats will be seeded on submitted times.
7. Events will be swum as the published schedule. Awards may be collected from the trophy
stewards as soon as the results have been confirmed
8. Top boy and girl awards will be made in each age group for the meet best swim, based on
FINA points. The age groups are 9yrs 10yrs 11yrs 12yrs 13yrs 14yrs 15/Over.
Presentations will be at the end of the gala, prior to the skins event taking place.
9. It is the responsibility of the swimmers to report to the competitor’s stewards in good time
for their race. Heats will not wait for missing swimmers.
10. It is the responsibility of coaches and parents attending with the swimmers to ensure an
acceptable standard of behaviour is maintained in the pool and elsewhere in the building.
11. The use of all photographic equipment including mobile phones is restricted at all galas, if
you wish to take photographs please register your intention with the door stewards and
wear the badge that will be issued to you, failure to do so will result in you being excluded
from the gala.
12. The promoters reserve the right to exclude any swimmer or spectator not complying with
these conditions
13. Anything not covered by the above will be at the discretion of the promoters.
IMPORTANT
This is an international venue and as such is open to the general public; other activities will be
taking place in the building at the same time as this gala. If swimmers wish to leave the poolside
they must conform to the minimum standard of dress of at least a t-shirt and suitable footwear.
Please do not leave items of clothing or other articles unattended as neither the promoters or the
pool staff will accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items or any damage to such items.
SECURITY
Due to an increasing number of thefts at open meets may we remind you not to leave anything of
even the smallest value unattended, not only do you run the risk of it being stolen but with the
current high state of alertness the centre staff will remove anything lying around and destroy it
before asking questions.

SKINS EVENT
The fastest 10 from the 50m freestyle boys and girls will go into the skins final. The slowest 2 will be eliminated in the
first 2 heats, in the remaining heats only 1 will be eliminated until only two remain who go head to head winner takes
all. Boys and girls will swim alternately. Heats are swum at 3 minute intervals.
