GOLF
Play on Three Championship Courses
Seaside Course– A challenging links-style championship
course, prominently placed on Golf Digest’s list of “Top 100
Courses in the United States.” This ocean-side course places a
premium on careful shot selection, recovery, and putting. Along
with Plantation, Seaside is the site of the PGA TOUR’s RSM
Classic.
Plantation Course– A parkland-style course. Tree-lined
fairways and challenging greens provide a great test for players
of all levels. Players find beauty in tidal creeks and lakes. As the
course winds through marsh and forest, it offers spectacular
views of the ocean.
Retreat Course– A Davis Love III design, also a parkland-style
course. The course has several unusually shaped holes with
dog legs left and right, and large greens with tricky slopes and
undulation, resulting in a fun, shot-making course.
Group Activities
Beat the Pro– A Sea Island golf professional stationed at a
Par 3 hits one shot to the green; this becomes the ball to beat.
Each person who beats the pro receives a prize.

Glow-in-the-Dark Putting Tournament– Great event for a
cocktail party or after dinner. 9-hole putting tournament, with
each hole of the course outlined by glow sticks. Golf balls glow

• $895/group (Daylight Putting Tournaments also

Glow-in-the-Dark Pin and Drive Contest– Extraordinary
event for a dinner or after-dinner event at the Golf Performance
Center Pavilion. Closest to the pin and longest drive contests
using glow ball equipment. Golf balls glow in the dark.

Chipping Contest– Players hit from a mat or grass to a
predetermined pin on the putting green. Contests are organized
by a Sea Island golf pro.

One-Hour Programs with 4:1 student to instructor ratio–
• Putting– Learn the basics from set up to reading the greens
• Short Game– Set up, swing, and strategy will be covered from
around the green including chipping, pitching, and bunker.
• Full Swing Fundamentals– Explore the fundamentals of a golf
swing from grip, set up, body movement, and club control.
• Pre-Round Stretch– Stretch like the Pros with a variety of
warm-ups led by Sea Island instructors.
Two-Hour Programs with 4:1 student to instructor ratio–
• Short Game– An hour of short game strategy and technique
on chipping, pitching, or bunker. Followed by an hour learning
the basics of putting tailored to the individual’s experience and
skill level.
• Long Game– Two hours of full-swing with individual
instruction based on the individual’s experience and skill level.

with another of long game.
Club Fitting– With the finest club fitters in America, the Golf
Performance Center offers individual and group fitting, fairway
woods, utility clubs, irons, wedges, and putters.

BOATING AND FISHING
Cloister Belle Yacht Cruise– A scenic, leisurely way to explore the
local island waterways. The 1957 Cloister Belle is a 71-foot teak and
mahogany yacht that offers views of spectacular sunsets across the
golden marshes.
• Minimum– 5, Maximum– 30, including servers
• Length– 2+ hours
• $1,800 (2-hour minimum), $500 each additional hour,
on-board Naturalist, $350
Salt Marsh Tour by Boat– Cruise through the estuaries and marshes.
These trips offer a wonderful view of the beautiful coastline, with
possible observation of shorebirds and dolphins.

Captain’s Choice Fishing Excursions– Groups are divided into
teams and timed. Points are earned for first fish caught, largest fish,
smallest fish, most fish caught, and best foreign object.

Salt Marsh Kayaking and Paddleboarding– Explore the vast tidal
grasslands behind the barrier islands by sea kayak or paddleboard with
a naturalist. Tandem kayaks available.

Kayak with Shore Lunch– Paddle to Sea Island’s southern tip for an
educational beach walk with our Naturalist to discuss flora and fauna,

Rainbow Island Dock Party– Groups have the Rainbow Island
Water Sports Dock to themselves. SUP lessons, kayaking, Sunfish

SHOOTING SCHOOL
Clay Target Shooting Lesson– Interactive instruction on gun safety,
equipment, shooting position and strategy. No experience needed.

Tournament Shoot-Out– One hour of interactive practice and clay
target lesson; the second hour is the competition. Teams are set up to
suit guests’ needs and can be as easy or challenging as preferred. No

BROADFIELD
On 5,800 acres, Broadfield offers a wide range of experiences
for the novice or the most seasoned outdoor enthusiast.
Broadfield is located approximately 45 minutes south of
Sea Island, off Exit 14 on I-95.
Continental Pheasant Shoot– 220 birds released per shoot.

Tennis Team Building: A Fun Lesson in Working

your tennis game through specially designed drills and games
emphasizing team communication.

Jensen Brothers Experience Packages– Get “Jensenized”
with tennis icon Luke Jensen, best known for his ability to

PEDAL
PEDAL is a full-service bicycle shop offering bike rentals, repairs,
and bike accessories for the whole family. Golf cart rentals also
available. Located at the Beach Club.

BEACH AND NATURE
Private Beach Horseback Ride– This unique experience takes
riders along the undeveloped south end of Sea Island beach.
• Minimum– 1, Maximum– 8
• Length– Approximately 90 minutes
• $960 (up to 8 riders)
Saddle & Paddle– For this exciting activity the group will
experience Sea Island in a whole new way. One group will take off
on bicycles down private beach to the southern tip of Sea Island.
The other half will paddle from Rainbow Island the same spot.
Once both groups arrive, participants will enjoy a leisurely guided
nature walk before each group heads back to Rainbow Island.

Jeep Train Eco Tour– Ride along on the Jeep Train to discover the
flora and fauna of the island’s maritime forest, marshes, and beach
with Sea Island’s resident naturalist. This trip will include shelling
on the beach.

History and Wildlife Bike Tour– Enjoy a tour of Sea Island homes
with marsh and beach views, education on native flora and fauna,

Ecology Tour of Cannon’s Point– Join a Sea Island
naturalist on an excursion to Cannon’s Point Preserve, a
600-acre wilderness area offering six miles of shoreline, abundant
native species, as well as plantation-era ruins, located on the north
end of St. Simons Island. Visitors can explore a mature maritime
forest and experience the rich coastal ecology. Transportation
included.

Tour of The Cloister– Take a guided tour through the hotel.
Hear the fascinating history of the architecture, landscape,
and furnishings. Tours begin in the Lobby.

Monets and Martinis– Ms. Mildred Huie Wilcox, owner

The Islands Historical Tour– Learn the history of Sea
Island’s “cottage colony.” Tour includes stops at historic Fort

Georgian Room Cooking School– Join the team of Georgia’s only
Forbes Five-Star restaurant in the kitchen to experience the elegance and
sophistication of preparing a world-class meal. Lunch and souvenir apron

Sea Island Sprint– Bring a thinking cap to search for planted
clues around the island! Groups are split into teams. Hunts
can be themed and customized with various mental and
physical activities.
