Big Sir Dan Capodanno
we would have nothing. The Officers will be sworn-in at the luncheon by Bob Fox, our Regional
Director. By the way, I owe Bob
an apology for forgetting to introduce him to you at the luncheon
in November. He met with the
BEC and provided some guidance as to how we can continue
to improve our Branch experience.
In line with that thought, please
be sure to let any member of the
BEC know of any special activity
you would like to see in our
Branch. There is always room for
another activity. Please be sure
to express your opinion on the
location of our luncheon, service
by the staff and the menu offerings. If there is something you
would like to see, let us know.
That’s it for now. Have a great
holiday and do not eat too much
turkey.

Dan’s Thoughts
Thank
goodness we
have a newsletter editor who
is on top of
things. I completely forgot to
write my monthly article. Thanks,
Steve.
So what is there to say? First of
all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of
you and your families. It is the
special time of the year to sit
down with family and tell stories
of days-gone-by. At least that is
what we do at the Capodanno
household.
Next, I want to thank all of you
who will be attending the Christmas luncheon at Dominic’s at
Oyster Point. The menu looks
good and the entertainment will
be fantastic. There will also be
some special presentations.
My thanks also to all the members of the BEC for continuing to
serve our Branch with enthusiasm and efficiency. Without you

A Christmas Story
Just before Christmas, an honest politician, a generous lawyer and Santa Claus all got into an elevator at the Ritz Hotel. As the elevator traveled from the 5th floor down to the lobby, one-by-one they noticed a $50 bill lying on the floor.
Which one picked up the $50 bill and handed it in at the reception desk?
Santa, of course. The other two don’t actually exist.
The Shopper
After being away on business for a week before Christmas, Tom thought it would be nice to bring his wife a little gift.
“How about some perfume?”, he asked the cosmetics clerk.
She showed him a bottle costing $50.
“That’s a bit much”, said Tom, so she returned with a smaller bottle for $30.
“That’s still quite a bit”, Tom groused.
Growing disgusted, the clerk brought out a tiny $15 bottle.
Tom grew agitated. “What I mean”, he said, “is I’d like to see something real cheap.”
So, the clerk handed him a mirror.
Reindeer's Story at Christmas
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.
Female reindeer retain their antlers until after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.
We should have known... only women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one
night and not get lost.
