Monday, afternoon:
Dear Diary,
Today was a very hot day. The climate gets warmer and warmer. All
the icebergs melt down. I life in a bi g family. I have many brothers and
sisters. It is difficult to survive because there is not enough food for
everyone .The reason is the infested water. More and more fish have
died or have swum away. Now we have to search for our food.
Bye,
Tommy

Tuesday:
Dear Diary,
Morning:
Today the weather is better. It isn’t so hot like the day before.
Yesterday evening we found a beautiful bay. There were so many fish.
I’m so happy. I have never ever eaten so much fish before. I´m going to
go to this bay with my family.
Bye,
Tommy
Dear Dairy,
Evening:
It was terrible. When we arrived, we saw a big derrick. The water was
black and it smelled so bad. We saw a big layer of dead fish at the
surface of the water. My mum cried. I couldn’t believe my eyes. My
brother was so hungry and ran to the water. He ate a dead fish. My
father reached for my brother, but it was too late. He had already eaten
the fish. A tear was running down my cheek. We went home. Everyone
was quiet. Nobody said anything. What a sad day.
Bye, Tommy

Wednesday:
Dear Diary,
Evening: I’m so sad, because last night my brother died. We are very
sad. Just two hours ago a big tourist group came and took photos. I felt
terrible because I don´t like the people who watch at me. My parents
protect use. I don’t know what I can do. What a day! In the last time it
has been very difficult to survive. I’m scared.
Bye, Tommy
P.S.: I hope in the future I can live a normal life.

Penguins in the Antarctic
Region
Dear world population
Listen to us!
Please, stop your expeditions with big ships to the Antarctic region.
You come to us with these icebreakers, while we are catching fish
and we can´t see you. When it is too late we see your big turbines
and we get into them and we die. These icebreakers also break the
ice. You have to understand that we are worried about our children
because sometimes we can´t protect them. The reason is that we
live one half of our life in the sea and then our children have to wait
on the ice. So you really have to understand us. I think you wouldn´t
like to flee from a seal and then notice that there is the next person
who wants to catch you. Then many of us die in this situation and we
just live 25 years, but most of us die when we are not older than one
year. Even our biggest penguin, the emperor penguin, which is 120
cm tall, can´t protect us or the smallest penguins, which are 30 cm
tall against you. This is a difficult life because you also scare away the
fish or krill with your ships. This is our main food. But there is one
positive statement. We love the explorers with those small boats
because they catch the seals :D and do not harm us.
So please understand us.
