DCC Student Clubs – A.G.E.N.T.S. of the Q.E.P.
We all participated as Q.E.P. A.G.E.N.T.S. for the reaccreditation for Danville Community College. Let us
continue to be involved and active in the Clubs and Organizations available here at the DCC. Are you aware that
DCC has at least 15 clubs for your involvement? Community College clubs and activities are opportunities for
students interested in developing a personal, social, and community service experience. Evidence of participation
can help to create a more interesting resume for job opportunities, career applications and or higher college
applications.
Clubs and Organizations are considered as extracurricular activities and they are extremely important in
helping students develop excellent long-term work habits, a sense of responsibility, and the skill of working as a
team for the common goal of the club. Students also learn valuable character traits such as pride, productivity and
being more organized. While mastery of academics are imperative, many employers and higher education
colleges are looking for candidates that are able to demonstrate leadership, planning and social skills for successful living. Statistics show that participation in extracurricular activities is positively related to consistent attendance,
academic achievement and aspirations for continuing education. Get involved to learn more and participate in
events that are of interest to you. See the list below of available Clubs and Organizations, and identify which one
you would like to become a part of. Today you can make friends, have fun, grow and learn in the club of your
choice.
