Instructions For Use Of Triple A
Triple A is a planning and recognition tool designed to help you effectively minister through your WMU organizations. It is to be
used both as a tool for annual planning and on-going evaluation.
This version of the form is to be used throughout the September 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017 church year. As you prepare for
the new year in WMU, please read through the entire document and consider the following as you plan:
● Note the items that you ordinarily include in your annual planning and make plans to include them again if they fit
with your church’s goals and vision;
● Highlight the actions that you want to give special attention;
● Note new ministry ideas that you want to include in this year’s calendar. Consider including at least two items
(ministries, missions trips, mission studies) that you have not included before.
For your WMU to achieve Triple A recognition, forty-four (44) of the sixty-nine (69) actions must be completed. At least one
activity must be accomplished from eleven (11) categories of thirteen listed.
An action is the how, what, where, when, and why of the category. In every category, the action is indicated by an
asterisk (*).
As each action is completed, check the line beside it to indicate completion. For recognition by state WMU, please complete
the report form provided on the inside back page. Make a copy of the booklet to keep and send the original booklet to South
Carolina WMU.
All of the information must be completed on the form. Your request for recognition must be mailed to the state WMU office
after August 31, 2017, but before September 30, 2017. Forms will not be accepted after September 30. We ask that you mail
your forms after August 31 in an effort to encourage your WMU to remain active for the entire church year.
