Jackie Hurley’s
Literature Connection
Froggy Eats Out
by Jonathan London
(available on TeachersPayTeachers)
This is one activity out of the book above. It is
comparing and contrasting the fictional story character
with a live animal.
As you read through the book with the class, point out
the ideas that might be used on the chart later during
whole group discussions.
I have included a document camera page with a website
for information about tree frogs.
The key has several acceptable answers but the answers
will vary as the children give you ideas to add to the
chart. Each child can do an individual chart or you can
do a community chart with the classroom to hang up for
display.
Have fun learning!
